Hi, I bought this amp from Richer Sounds a few months ago and recently tried to connect up the bluetooth doing it by the book, but no luck. Also, I used net radio quite a lot but everytime I now try to connect it comes up as "not available" I googled doing a reset and still no good.

I've contacted RS who weren't much help and said take it back into the store I bought it from and they'll connect it up for me via LAN - not much help when I want it wireless. Has anyone had similar problems and found a cure?

have you tried updating the firmware, if that's possible?

If that doesn't fix it, then take it back to the shop and ask for a repair/replacement or refund.

If the device is advertised as having wifi support and it doesn't work, then it is not fit for purpose. You are entitled to get it sorted out.

A high proportion of wifi issues are down to the network in the home.

Take it back and ask them to connect wirelessly - there's a very good chance it will work in store.

Before making the trip try resetting your router and power down the amp.

Whoops. Isn't this what they call PICNIC in IT - Problem In Chair Not In Computer!
Thanks, that's worked and I now have net radio but bluetooth won't connect to my phone. It will connect to my tablet though.

Got to say RS have the worst CS I've had to deal with. Also tried to leave them a review on their website and surprise, surprise they've moderated and refused to publish it due to internal rules and regs.

For b/t from your phone I'm guessing you know where the issue may be...

Personally, it would be no loss to me - I think it sounds terrible and is flaky whenever I've used it. Apt-X is just polishing a turd.

But, if it's included it should work.

Dare you to share what RS deleted - it'll be fun to read now knowing the issue was your network and (likely) your phone wink

Ha ha. The review didn't include these issues here. I had problems with duff connectors and gave them 3 attempts and 2 months to rectify but they just didn't care and I bought them elsewhere on the promise they refund in full. Although it did pi55 me off that the amp is now £70 cheaper than what it was a couple of months ago.

Fair enough.

Their CS director is a regular contributor on avforums and these sorts of complaints are normally dealt with very quickly and satisfactorily.

In my experience it's something they still get right most of the time.
