I picked up a couple of the small KEF q series bookeshelf speakers for my setup, i already have a sub and a Denon AVR-X2200W receiver to go with these. My room setup is small so i don't need anything massively powerful, room is say 10ft by maybe 14 or so.

The KEF's will be the surround speakers and I'd ideally like the front and centre speakers to match, as they will be right in my eyeline and i was looking at floor standing speakers for the front's but i didn't realise they were so expensive.

I've been looking at supertfi/richer sounds clearance sections but not much has come up, ebay and av forums for matching items are not being fruitful so far and making me think about my options.

I'd rather have floor standers and wondering if there are any good brands to look at on somewhere like richer sounds, cambridge audio have some nice looking sx80 which I could match to a centre speaker but does anyone have any other suggestions to look at?

I've got this system

https://creative-audio.co.uk/HD.php?_QAC_3050_51&a...

Price reduced due to a new model. The 3050's as fronts are also great for stereo.

Stonking value at £700.

hmmmm, some refurbished ones on richer sound for just over 300 for the front set which is tempting and get the matching centre.....

Actually new they are heavily reduced as you say at superfi

Give Creative a call - they're great to deal with.

They'll do just the centre and floor standers if that's all you want.

I upgraded the rears to 3020's. A highly regarded speaker on it's own.

So to drag this one back to the top, i ended up getting the Q Acoustics 3090ci central speaker with a new tv stand and it's been damn good and i am impressed so far

No floorstanders yet as need to wait for those, not vital as need to replace the motor but for now i am v happy with the route i am taking
