Take some pics while your putting it up please as I’ll be following with the same set in a few months and want to see how not to do it!

Only kidding wink Any tips welcome.
Well with a bit of luck you've been forward thinking at an earlier stage and buried cables, etc. in the wall waiting for this very day?!

That's what I did, 2 years ago when building the house. Was never sure if we were going to have a TV in this room (or where if we did - I put 3 possible points in to cover all bases!). But fast forward 3 years and here we are. I've cut the plasterboard to expose my pre planted cabling, and made up a recessed wall box for the plugs and also to take any excess cables so that the TV sits flush back to the wall.

I've just spent lunch time fixing the wall bracket (onto the 25mm plywood pattress that I put in just in case!). Will hang TV later on tonight.

The hole in the bottom of the ply box will take power and HDMI down to the Sonos Arc (when it arrives) so that all cables are hidden.

Looks good and yes, I’ll be doing that as the build progresses.

That mount looks very swish too.

Happy viewing smile

The mount is included with the GX version.

Very simple to install.

That looks great. I definitely prefer that design to the C9 I have got for wall mounting.

The C9 is much thinner at the top and around the edges than your GX, but the rear part is thicker, so even if you mount it close to the wall it doesn't appear flush like that.

I can see where they were going with the C9 design as from most angles it just looks like a very thin (about 3-4 mm) panel of glass floating in front of the wall, but I'd prefer something that was a bit more flush.

The top of the range one is only about 3mm thick and sits completely flush to the wall with all of the 'works' in a separate box. When I was buying last year, I seem to remember it was about 4x the price of the C9 and picture quality and other specs were exactly the same so I couldn't really justify it!

I’m sure you know this, but the GX is specifically designed for wall mounting.

I bought mine last year. I'm not sure if there was an equivalent G9 that was designed like that? I must admit I didn't look beyond the C9 once I found out the tech specs were the same as you went further up the range and the C9 had a nice design/price.

I'm actually looking for another one for another room, so might go for the GX in there.

I may be wrong, but I think the X was the first range to have a specific wall mounted model.

Makes sense. As I say, I didn't specifically look for it last year, but I did a little bit of investigation of the other models before plumping for the C9 and didn't see anything that justified the extra price, and that feature might have done.

Have got the Sonos Arc fitted now as well, and linked with 2 existing Sonos One's as surrounds. Very impressed.

Nice little set up to head into a potentially very long, boring winter!
