Often we will get questions on what size of TV to purchase with the answer commonly being "go big or go home". beer

I'm also swithering between a 55 and 65 inch TV and interested in what others actually have in their main viewing room.

I suspect the number of people with a main TV smaller that 65 might actually be quite large, but at least this will allow all the powerfully built directors to list what they have and get some bragging rights! cool

Hope you can post yours below and your interest level (big TV/film watcher or hardly watch much).

Many thanks in advance.

Had a 55", but luckily we also have a 100" UST projector......the TV is now in the sunroom & the lounge is just for Big Stuff hehe

All that said....unless you are only 8' from the screen, I would chose BIG!

Would have been bigger but that's as large as I could get on the chimney breast.

50".
When I first got it, it really did seem to dominate the room, but I soon got used to it.
TBH, it really is as big as it needs to be, the room only being modest in size.
Still, when it pops I'll happily get a 55", maybe even go 60". biggrin

Love my movies and box sets.

1080p Sony 40", will probably last forever - so won't upgrade..! Perfectly good for an occasional film or music dvd....!
Have a Q Acoustics M2 Soundbase underneath it too - Sounds good at least..

An old 43" Panasonic plasma, I've not replaced it because until recently none of the oleds were small enough to fit in the space. One of the new 48" oleds would fit in the space, but we'll be moving soon so I'll probably get a new one then.

55 from previous 40 and I couldn't get away with any bigger without wall mounting.
The first week after you upgrade is amazing every time you turn it on but it's funny how you get used to it.

75 in the TV room. We don’t have a TV in the lounge.
