How much electricity does a modern 55" OLED TV use?

Our 55” OLED is on pretty much 11 hours per day and we still only average 8kw in total consumption for the house.

It’s definitely not a huge cost. The plasmas were a different story - like running a 400w corded drill continuously.

I have a pioneer plasma. And a smart meter. I don’t much like the change in numbers when I turn the telly & amplifier on.

It’s still buttons in the grand scheme of things.

The potentially bigger problem is screen burn if she leaves it on all day one channel that has fixed graphics like the News channels. Make her change the channel every hour, no return with two hours.

This is why I won't get an OLED TV.

My mum had one and you could see the Good Morning Britain logo shape on the screen, which is pretty bad as that is like 3 hours a day out of about 12 that she would have it on.
