Best 55 or 65 inch tv for gaming and general use

We currently have a LG 42PW450T which is fine but really want to upgrade to something bigger and newer. Also want to get a TV suitable for next or should I say current gen gaming now before i buy a PS5 or Series X. I understand the main requirements are HDMI 2.1 and 4K at 120hz.
My tv stand is 59 inches in length although there’s plenty space on the wall behind if needed and its about 9-10 ft from the back rest of the couch to the tv currently. Would 65” be the better option then? I hear it’s better to go bigger and id regret it if I don’t.
Budget I would say though is up to £1000 preferably.
Thinking maybe the LG Nano 86 could be a shout but don’t know if there’s anything similar or better for the price?
