Hi all
Ive got a pair of Mission M72 speakers at home, they have 4 posts on the back in case bi wiring is needed. Years ago I managed to snap one off right at the base.
Finally got round to having a look and Ive removed the broken one. It was simply a case of undoing a nut on the back of the panel.
However I cannot find another post that would match. What I want is one red one of the exact type shown in this picture.

Ive googled, amazoned and ebayed with no luck. Can the genius PH collective find me one somewhere to buy?

Thanks

Mr Pointy

It might be easier to change both so they match.

I agree, changing what you have will be way less of a problem.

Change both what? I just want the red "pillar"y type bit, the post. Not too fussed about an exact shade of red match, but the same style..
Ive circled the bit I want.

Could you not buy the entire unit you posted the picture of and then remove the terminal?
They are £12.99 on eBay.

I could but theres the risk that they are soldered at the back or something. the one Ive got just bolts into position. Could ask the seller maybe.

footnote: the unit pictured is not the unit I have if thats not clear

Farnell have a variety of speaker binding posts which you might be able to get to work:

https://uk.farnell.com/c/connectors/audio-video-co... (just one page from a search to get you started)

Wilmslow Audio also:

Years ago (late '80s) I built a pair of the Wilmslow Audio LS3 Mini Monitors (based on the BBC LS3A speaker design). When sub-woofers started to be a useful add-on I rang WA to see if they did a kit that would be a suitable match for my LS3s. The very knowledgeable chap explained the best option for me but due to the cost I decided to put the upgrade on hold. These days they have they have three different email addresses as well as a telephone number. I suggest you send them an email with your problem.

OP post a couple of pictures of your unit so we can see exactly what you need.

Isn't that a standard banana plug socket?

If it was me I'd just get a generic binding post that will fit. It won't be seen in situ. I'm sure they sound good but, those speakers aren't of any great value financially.

yes I guess so. Would be nice to have them matching. I think they probably sound better than the wharfedale dx2 I now have.(recently bought 5.1 set up) Was thinking of having them as fronts (the missions) and using the 2 dx 2 as atmos if I mount them up high or on ceiling.
Thanks
