Obviously go look all my suggestions up on the high-def streaming service of your preference; Youtube mangles audio quality on the whole.

Also in case it was overlooked in my initial recommendation post, this is just utterly gorgeous:

I will give Interstellar a go later on - when the house wakes up! smile

I've been playing with HouseCurve a room correction app which can be used with Roon - I've had good results.
Let me know what you think!
I did listen - and it's lined up to have another go. Bad tinnitus yesterday (it varies in intensity) prevented me from enjoying it....

Just as an aside... I don't really love the whole track to be honest, but the opening of 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover by Paul Simon is worth a go. Steve Gadd on drums, superbly recorded. smile

Ooh, I forgot - Lux by Voces8 is great for choral tracks with a modern twist and is very nicely produced.

...
I can sympathise on the tinnitus front - one's ever-present friend, whether one likes it or not, with varying degrees of annoyance factor... lol

Slightly off topic but I was once lucky enough to have the opportunity to try a pair of STAX headphones. The shop chucked on the STAX demo cd and just let it run. A lady walking across a wooden floor wearing heels, walked towards me from the left and passed through me to the right. Utterly unbelievable.

Is there anything from his back catalogue that is poorly mixed/produced? I can’t think of any.

The acoustic version? Johnny sounds pretty close to the listener!

Have you tried Fink and Trouble's What You're In? It's on a live album - very good.

From the album 'Wheels Turn Beneath My Feet' (2012)? An excellent suggestion if so.

It is a great sounding album.

Perfect Darkness is a great sounding studio album from them too - a few of the tracks appear on Wheels Turn.

I have probably been a bit dismissive of Dire Straits as "Dad Rock of the 1980s" , but I've just listened to the full version of Telegraph Road.

It's rather good.

Oooh! Nice.... I don't know this album, just listening to the first track now. Very well recorded and sounding good on 96/24.

If you like that one, try “Laughing Stock”, also by Talk Talk …. It’s a fantastic sounding album ..!
