'Roadhouses and Automobiles' by Chris Jones.

His final album before he died in 2005. A very high quality recording.
That does sound good - thanks... had not heard of Chris Jones before. He reminds me of maybe Mark Cohn with a bit of Bruce Hornsby (sans piano). I will listen some more. A tragedy that he should die so young.

@M38 and Robbie.... ever heard this?

Featuring the amazing (RIP) Norton Buffalo on harmonica - I feel sure there's an electric violin in there too, but apparently not... Bill Payne (Little Feat)... there's quite a list. I love the harmonica playing, sublime.

That is a nice track, just a shame the youtube version has some compression that is audible, I looked on Spotify but cannot find it frown

This track, and I'm not sure if it's already been mentioned, is exceptionally well recorded. Definitely worth seeking out the high resolution recording (ie not Spotify) on Qobuz or similar.

'Come with me' by Tania Maria sounds good on a big system - bass and drums are nicely done. Not earth-shattering production, but worth checking out if you've not heard it.

'Love Warrior's Anthem' by Kwashibu Area Band is worth a listen. Jazz with an African influence - very nicely recorded and some deep bass going on for those who can. smile

On Grace And Danger with the track Sweet Little Mystery, it s warm late 70s production perfection imho
With Phil Collins on backing vocals?

Just a small amuse bouche...

Sounding dangerously close to a Billy Ocean riff, Jean Luc Ponty's 'In Spiritual Love' off the remastered Individual Choice album features a nice Mini Moog solo from George Duke.

Nicely produced, but not earth shattering.

Discovered London Gloaming by Brad Mehldau recently, absolutely recommend it!
Nicely produced... the Rhodes drifts close to St Germain, which is no bad thing. I'll try to get to the rest of the album.

Try this one. Loud.

Wow yes the bass on this and mastering quality is A+

Listening on my Arya Stealth and the bass is so ridiculously lush this might be the single best bassy but incredible detail song I have heard so far.
I think my sub’s voice coils have just melted…..
Not my kind of music, but I did give it a whirl - especially as my system is supposed to go down to 11Hz. Certainly some big bass.

Blimey, you must have some sub (or even a stack of them). 11Hz is properly low end
I doubt it goes that low - but that's the claim! I have a pair of LS60's paired with the KC62 (11 - 200Hz). The whole lot, which effectively has 10 bass drivers, sounds quite good.

The recent re-release (24 bit) of Brothers in Arms sounds pretty good - it's sharpened it up.

Blue Lamp. Stevie Nicks, from the Heavy Metal OST or Bella Donna.

Luscious production.
I haven't heard that - will give it a listen later... it has some stellar musicians on it including Bill Payne (Little Feat) and the ubiquitous Lenny Castro who appears on hundreds of recordings.

I was at the hifi show yesterday and shazamed every track demoed, so will be testing them out at home.

For female vocals, Liberty by Anette Askvik was really good. Whole album is good.

Leonard Cohen and Boz Scaggs were both used well.

Fuzzy Monkey by Morten Granau is one to give your bass drivers a good workout. smile
Make a playlist and publish the link! smile

I do like a bit of Boz - Fade Into Light is a favourite album... 'Just Go' is particularly poignant.

Pete Josef - Colour is a nice sounding track.... he's also got a great voice, hints of Stevie. 'Many Signs' is another good track from the same album ('Colour').

Thanks for Mike Dawes - I'd not heard of him before.... very reminiscent of Michael Hedges.

Ah yes, Six Blade Knife, I remember when that album came out, it was so different to anything else at the time.
