PS don't panic - for reasons I don't understand, Burghley have never yet listed our show on their website,

Anyone got any more info on the drives out? There doesn't seem to be any threads on them anywhere.
We went on the Rutland drive out a couple of years ago and my son and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

QBee, thanks for the info. I've now got my club number so can log onto the club site. Not that there's a mass of info there.

There will doubtless be a time line in the circle in front of the house, with examples of every model from Grantura to Sagaris, with some specials perhaps along - the white elephant, a racing SEAC etc.
The White Elephant won't be attending any more TVR Car Club National Events as I have now resigned from the club. However that is not to say the White Elephant won't be attending any TVR club National Events, they just won't be TVR Car Club National Events.

I assume he is the same person that is having a rant on Facebook about being personally asked to set up another TVR club. Unless Les is backing it, I can't see why anyone would bother to move.

No I don't. I'm all ears though as to why they resigned. I'm just saying they said on FB that they have been asked to set up a new club.
I would be interested to know who has asked them and what they are going to call it?
Ps, I have nothing to do with the committee or region and don't attend any meetings.

Did not think we would be here for this event but as everything went wrong we are still here and so that means I can pop over to Burghley House on Sunday. So will see some of you there.

Hope to see you there - MGF? or daily doo dah?
I will most likely be the scruffy pale blue TVR Chimaera parked in the public car park, as mine is in desperate need of a re-spray and so i cannot bear it to be in the display area.
Respray is booked a week later, unfortunately.
At least I stand a fighting chance of it being on the road - engine went back in yesterday, MOT this afternoon, everything crossed. smile

hello Anthony,

who is doing the re-spray? Is there somewhere in Downham or Swaffham?

It's going to be spray dipped. Not sure what the product is called, but is it a properly tough, shiny finish, can be polished and looks like proper paint. I simply cannot afford a full respray any time soon. I will post up some pictures when it is done.

I am very much looking forward to this - So long as I can get the car working by then!

Happy to park up in the 'requires respray' area too wink

dont be daft!...park with the rest of us. I know that you also believe the cars are meant for driving not just polishing...We need to show the cars for what they are....if we start limiting attendance to concours cars, then i will have to think about leaving the club and start up another club as well. ..lol
