I think some of the stickers went into the 700's but no idea if they started from 0 or missed any out. scratchchin

I was perhaps the 10th punter there, and my number was 350 or something similar

The Rutland Rumble was great fun too, many thanks to the organisers

My chum and I did not have consecutive numbers, even though we entered one after the other.

Figures are in for this past weekends TVRCC Season Opener and there where 493 of Blackpools Finest there enjoying the weather the cars and great friendships what a great day and as someone said on the phone today the standard of cars get better and better each year.
With people realising that even if a new car does appear it will either be out of there budget or they love the earlier cars so much that they want to fully restore to sometimes better than when they left the factory and spending way beyond a cars value but are happy to do that as like us all they just love the cars we have

This is up against last year by about 40 cars..

With this passion and love for these cars we will see these events continuing way into the future great to see so many role on 2018 for anther great weekend there.

Now whats next the Diary is getting full maybe see many of you at Spa Classic or one of the other many events coming up.

Life is good but its better for TVR Owners

Was nice to talk to you! Hope everything sorts itself out for you. (Steve, ash green Chimaera.)
Thank you Steve it was a pleasure to chat to you about your Chimaera. One of the things that became clear to me is that the colours do not always come out correctly in photos especially online in adverts and several colours were quite an eye opener. In fact Qbee (Anthony) and I discussed this a repaint on his Chimaera is in the offing I believe so it is something he has been thinking about ....................... colours.

Another owner couple whose names I did not get helped with information about the 5 stud hub conversion. During my chat with some owners it became clear that many spent a long time in the search for their cars a nice couple driving a Chimaera in Crystal Verde were again most helpful with information even though we had never met before. It is this willingness to chat and share information and stories of their cars which really appeals and it is not only TVR's fans that are like this I have to say as many classic cars owners are also this welcoming and helpful.

I can now say that on my preferred colour list that Black is at the bottom with Silver close by however being realistic about the budget constraints and looking at the amount of Silver cars for sale at any one time if the spec and condition is right along with the price than it would be mad not to accept one offered in this scenario. Yellow is sitting at the top of the list with bright Red close behind but am still trying to figure out where Green and Blue fit. The spanner in the works was the colour Chianti which I was not keen on from photos but seeing it in the sunlight totally changed the perception and appreciation of it ........................... something for me to think on.

Meanwhile we are arranging my first ride in a TVR now that hopefully the coolant issue, a faulty and non opening thermostat, has been rectified.

...and the nicest non-TVR was this delightful Frazer Nash BMW which was parked in the public car park

I've been a Tiv owner of various cars for the last 12 years and with young family and work overseas never managed to get along to any events before. Been to two Burleigh events now and am bowled over with how genuinely friendly folk are and the quality of the cars. I have loved all three of my TVRs and it's great to be among kindred folk on days like Sunday. May the TVR community live on for decades and decades, they are such special cars :-)

Fantastic description of the the TVR fraternity there Chris.

The TVRCC has gone through what I can only describe as a a "rocky patch" over the last few months, with a very small number of members trying to change what is already a fantastically organised club.

The Burghley event is organised by volunteers from the TVRCC, who understand the importance of the TVR marque, I dare say it but if it wasnt for the TVRCC and the TVR Tuscan & Dunlop challenge race series, with specialists like Matt Smith & Str8six and many more supporting the Marque, then TVR could have diminished into obscurity.

With regards to your comment on people spending money on cars that are above their worth ,my Cerb was at Burleigh on Sunday ,its just had body off chassis restoration ,major engine work and a great deal of other work including a repaint in the last two years,a total of over 30k worth of work. I have owned the car over 11 years and no other car could ever replace it ,I tried,I bought an F Type Jaguar ,had it a year and did 8k miles in it but it just didn't put as big smile on my face as the Cerb does.

Indeed and was looking at photos of one for sale earlier today and the colour does not show as well in the photos. Seems to need natural light and sunlight in particular to really show it's worth. Crystal Verde is another that does not seem to show it's true worth in photos. Ahhh well will just keep looking and watching for now as until the sale is complete we cannot make a move on one so will just watch the market and keep tabs on those that are of interest to me.
