Hi all!

As the first regional event for 2018, I am proposing a trip down to the Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset.

The Tank Museum holds one of the best armoured vehicle collections in the world and is set in a lovely
part of South West England. They have over 300 vehicles on display and have live as well as static displays.
For more details on the museum, please see the following site - http://www.tankmuseum.org/.

The proposed date for this visit will be the 28th of April. In addition to the visit, there is also the possibility -
to be confirmed - of a camp out in a private location near the museum for those who do not want to do the
trip back on the same day (you would need to provide your own camping gear).

The cost of the museum is £14 pp (adult).

I will need a minimum of 12 for this event to happen and would need confirmation of attendance by
the end of January.

Thanks!

It has been suggested that we could do the Haynes Motor Museum on Sunday which is less than 50mins away from the Tank Museum and thus make it a weekend event.

Anyone up for that?

Maybe find a B&B mid way to stay over night?

There are quite a few nice hotels around - not too expensive. That's why I want solid numbers so I can get
hotel rates if people are coming.

However, at the moment - lots of interested - but few confirms.

Well, I'll leave it to the end of Jan and then push people for solid confirms. If we can get a reasonable number,
then I'll try and negotiate some rates for a hotel.

Hi! I will be looking to get the numbers by the end of Jan to decide yes or no to this event, so please indicate in the next few days if wanting to go or not. So far I have 11 yes and 4 maybes. Thanks!

I'm still a definite maybe. If I can make it, I'll be staying over in a B&B, not a tent!

Cool! We have enough to make this a go. I am now assuming most people will be wanting hotel/BB rather than
camping - by the feedback I have had.

So, in order to try and get a deal (based on numbers), could you please indicate to me...
i) If staying the night
ii) If going to Haynes next day

I'll then try and get a hotel sorted.

Thanks!

Alex,

I'm just going for the day, so no hotel or Haynes on Sunday for me.

I'll say yes to hotel and Haynes next day. But if I haven't got the Chim I'll be in the Audi (hiding at the back and trying to keep up).

I would prefer the cheaper of the two options - I've spent all my money on my interior.
