2018 TVRCC Season Opener 8th April 2018 Burghley House Stamford Lincs.
This event is always a great day and a great way to start the year off properly.
Alayne and Novelette and ther team work hard to make this event happen so lets get out there with our cars and have some fun.

Be a part of one of the largest annual gatherings of TVR'S held in the stunning grounds of Burghley House , Stamford , Lincolnshire PE9 3JY..

The grounds of Burghley become a wash of colour with TVR owners and friends arriving from all over the country and further.
There will be runs around the local countryside on the Saturday 7th with of course lunch stops. Further details of the runs will be on the Events Forum to follow.
The main event will be held on the Sunday in the beautiful grounds of Burghley House.
It is £5.00 per car payable on the gate
Half price entrance into the house with ticket ,Fine food market,Lots of TVR related stalls ,

Plenty to do & see for all , with the Fine Food Market , The rare opportunity to stroll through The Private South Gardens, of which are only open for 2 days each year this being 7th & 8th April and Half price day ticket for entrance into the house & gardens.

There will be plenty of TVR Related trade stands where you will be able to purchase goodies etc.

We have negotiated a rate of £70.00 per room B&B at The Holiday inn, Peterborough West for TVRCC members .Booking is direct with the hotel on 01733 289913 quoting TVRCC

Hi

Can you come along in your TVR and pay £5 on the gate if you are a non-member?

Cheers
Rick

Most Certainly Can all TVRs are welcome the Club Events unit will be there and some of the office staff as well if people would like to join but no obligation but for many its well worth being a member.

Well a week to go and this will be my first meeting in a TVR. Let's hope the weather is kind like last year.

Any information on the Saturday run-outs, or are they a closely guarded secret this year?

Anthony,
As I understand it on Saturday there is a run at 11:00 and a second at 14:00 from the Royal Oak at Duddington PE9 3QE.

I found a PDF of the route on the TVR CC website here
https://tockify.com/tvrccevents/detail/157/1523095...

I'm aiming for the 11:00 run

That was great fun

Thanks to the organisers, and to those who generously gave up their passenger seats

Does anyone know how saturated the grass is looking at Burghley? I'm assuming the parking for the TVRs will be on the lawns out the front of the house like last year - or is there somewhere else that can be used?

Given that it's on a fair slope I'd hope it's not too bad?

But you never know........... wink

Good turn out, despite the weather ultimately turning sour

Big thank you to the organisers and marshals who persevered in difficult conditions

It looks (and sounds) a lot better in real life than on the photos and videos

I hope the V8S driver and passenger who had an almighty smash up on the M11 on the way back from Burghley are ok, not sure if it was anyone on here but I can't see that car seeing another day. Wishing you well whoever you are frown

I wasn't expecting it to be there so was surprised when I came across it. People had said it's better in the flesh so was hoping to be more impressed. Unfortunately it hasn't changed my opinion of it. A great technical result from TVR but nothing that'd make me want to buy one had I the cash. Which I haven't. So it's academic. We got to Burghley at lunchtime and unfortunately cars were already steadily leaving. Shame, but nice to see some TVRs this year! smile
