Hi, can anyone gives details of decent TVR/Classic Car meets for 2018 in North West? Seen a lot of detail on events but very few in NW. New to TVR S series ownership and looking to check out a few events locally in 2018.

Thanks

Where about are you in the NW?

I live in south Cheshire and attend the local North Staffs group of the TVRCC who are a relatively new but active group.

Just outside Chester. Where about are the meets? Assume in Staffs?

Hi Fez,

Welcome to TVR S Series ownership! A very wise choice. thumbup

Your nearest TVR group is the Greater Manchester, Merseyside & Cheshire TVRCC Region.
We are very active and meet every month on the second Tuesday, at 7:30 pm for 8:00.
The venue is The Windmill, Tabley, WA16 0HW just off the roundabout at J19 of the M6.
A friendly mixed bunch with at least 40 attending even during the dark winter months.

We have lots of social events as well as car outings, runs and shows. Several members are into sprinting in the TVRCC Speed Championship. Come along and meet us, you are assured of a warm welcome.
Just a word of warning, if you come along next month, be sure to arrive early, as if all goes to plan, we are expecting a capacity crowd for a rather special evening.

I am lucky enough to also be a member of the High Peak "Nomads" TVRCC Region, a compact band of itinerants who like driving anywhere there are nice twisty bits which lead to a good pub for a hearty Sunday lunch on the last Sunday of each month. ( Venue varies ) This month we are meeting at the Barrel Inn, Bretton, S32 5QD at 1pm next Sunday. If you fancy joining us, please do. If you would like a meal, it's essential to let us know so we can book an extra seat.

Plenty of things happening in the Northwest, a special run out on Sun 22nd April, which is TVR "Drive It Day", starting at 10 am prompt from Sainsbury's car park at Denton, just off J19 of the M60, and finishing in "Tup's A@$e" aka Ramsbottom after exploring 5 counties.

The most important run is the ever popular High Peak "Thrills in the Hills" on Sat 26th May, which should see over 100 TVRs from far and wide exploring the scenic delights of the area. Not to be missed.
Full details are on the events forums.

Also check out the Events Wiki on the S Series forum here on PistonHeads.
Fancy a good breakfast this Saturday? driving

Ben Coombs of Pub2Pub fame will be attending the next Cheshire & Greater Manchester group meeting at the Windmill and he is bringing Kermit with him too.

Cheers

Richard

Hi Glen

Are you sure about the motorway or Junction number, Shirl thinks that Junction 19 M60 is not Denton?

Hi Andy,

Shirl is absolutely correct ( as always ) and I'm a nidiot. wobble
NOT J19, I must have been thinking of our GMMC TVRCC meets at the Windmill just near J19 of the M6.
Or it might have been my phone misbehaving as usual. rolleyes

Not got a road atlas to hand at the moment, but the run is definitely starting from Sainsbury's Denton car park this Sunday at 10 am prompt.
M60 J24? and head toward Denton, it's under the (M67?) motorway bridge on the RH side.

Apologies for any confusion. weeping

I don't have a copy Andy, but I believe Mike Mahon, who has organised the run, will be on hand at the start with copies of the route.

See you.there! thumbup

Start point for the run is Sainsbury's Supermarket, Oldham Street, Denton, M34 3SJ
( Close to M60/M67 Junction, Denton Island. )

Get there early and fill up with fuel and food. smile
