Not the sweatbands and legwarmers type, oh no! More like the 4 wheeled, 99 Octane, blast through the countryside type. Now, what do you say....tempted??

August the 18th...... stick it in your diary because the TVRCC North Staffs region are having a blast through the countryside finishing at a wonderful seaside resort and it's all in aid of a good cause, now that can't be bad can it?
The piece de resistance is that with special permission, we have been granted pride of place to park directly on the seafront for all the tourists to cast their envious eyes upon. And to make sure all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed there are fish and chips involved too (not included in your donation unfortunately)!
"Where is this run I hear you ask?" Well, we start from Stoke-on-Trent and head west through some of the most amazing countryside Wales has to offer. Quaint towns, slate mountains and breathtaking views are all thrown into the mix for this 130 mile trip to Llandudno and don't worry if you can't make the start, you could always meet us en-route!

We are asking for a donation on £10 per car on the day, this all goes to our charity of choice which is the Douglas MacMillan Hospice. The Dougie Mac is a local charity dedicated to helping terminally ill people and their families at a time when all else seems lost and the world seems a very dark place.
We want to raise as much money as possible for them so come on folks, come along for the ride and if nothing else, you will be helping them to help someone and their family in an hour of need. We have some sponsorship forms as well, so you could get your friends and families to sponsor you too!

For more info and/or a copy of the sponsorship form to print off, please message me.

Yes, it is.

Plenty of free parking and there's a Starbucks to have a cuppa before the run starts.

Just a few days to go!

The weather is looking good for this Sunday's run even if it is a bit grim outside of your window today.

We will be leaving ASDA in Wolstanton (ST5 0AP) as close to 8:30am as possible so that we can arrive at our first stop/meeting point, the Ponderosa cafe (LL20 8DR) at 9:45 - 10am. Some of the North Wales members will be meeting us there along with some from Cheshire etc.

If you don't know the area, when you turn into the retail park, drive to the very end with ASDA on your right and turn right into the car park where you will see us. Make a beeline for me (green wedge - "B8 WEG") and I will give you your rallye board, booklet and key-ring. Your £10 donation (or more if you are feeling charitable - payable on the day) all goes to the Douglas Macmillan charity and if you can get anyone else to sponsor you for doing the run even better! I will have some sponsorship forms with me if you have lost yours or haven't had one or if you message me I can email one to you.

We aim to get a few photo's at the start, some at the Ponderosa, and as we drive through Bala, Sam (our photographer) will be taking shots so be sure to give him a thumbs up or wave and when we finish there will be some photo's on the promenade. We will be writing an article for "Sprint" magazine about the charity run so we need some good pictures :-)

Please remember, this isn't a race, it's a nice run through the countryside for a really good cause. We have got permission from Motorsport UK for this run and also all the relevant permits for parking and collection of money for the charity so all the boxes are ticked for a really enjoyable day :-)

See you all on Sunday and make sure you have full tanks,

Jase.

Brilliant day with a great turnout of over 40 TVRs raising some serious money for a worthwhile cause.
