These come from the Standard 8 or 10. They may be available from the club for these cars, Mike brotherhood also does them:

Steering arm Zappa.

This seems to be a possible steering arm solution.
There may be other engineering bobbles within the Vixen chassis but the bump steer issue is quite glaring.

This started out life as a 69 Tuscan chassis.
The steering arm in the photo seems to look a bit different and beefier on the bottom end.
Not quite sure if the Tuscan front end was like a Vixen - or at least similar and possibly interchangeable.

If one was to contemplate such a fabrication - what would be the effects of all that welding on the original arm?
You've got what looks like => 1/4" plate up top and a gusset.
That's a lot of high temp heat on that little arm.

EDIT: Ack - these are TR6 uprights on an M chassis - original tube chassis replaced by Mr. Zappa.
Looks like a lot of bother converting a Vixen front end to TR6.
+ taking a closer look at the original Vixen setup - dunno if something like this is feasible.

Getting back to the original issue - is the Mike Brotherwood "Standard 10 steering arms, new." - the definitive replacement?
And - seriously - "TVR put a bend in them" - really?

Excellent.
Billet!
Thank you.
If the hole surround is a bit beefier than original, one could contemplate:

ALLSTAR PERFORMANCE
Bump Steer Kit Pinto ALL56284

Won't have the sheer strength of the double Zappa thing but reaming a 1-1/2" per foot taper might be feasible without compromising structural viability.
