Something I said? getmecoat
Of course not!

I've been pretty much working 7-days a week since 2019 and whenever I get some momentum on personal things - like sorting out the cars, bikes etc .. - stuff crops up. May was a wash out on projects as first I was laid up for a week, then the little one had a tempurature that just wouldn't break for over a week and then my Mum was taken into hospital. All fine now but it was a lot of time to 'lost'.

Got June, July and August so will see if I can get Wendy sorted.

Finally booked up.

Sadly I don't own a TVR any more.

Not sure whether to use my track day car, (old Skoda) or my, "too nice for a track day Boxster".

I am doing three other Trackdays before so will see how the Skoda holds out. Visions of blown up Gearbox that may happen due to increased power, LSD and sticky tyres. We shall see.

Hopefully we won't see a repeat of the exploding Tam that burnt to a crisp next to where I parked last time!

Then I will be your poor cousin in my old vRS.

Does it have a LSD?
It’s got Audis 4WD Quattro system. Never had any wheels spinning up even with everything turned off smile

Still a slim chance I’ll be there in our 3000m race car.

Change of plan, gone for rear wheel drive road car. smile

Be interesting to drive something with a Torsen, last car was a 390SE in 1984..

Like 2012, just rerun smile

Would you have it any other way? Have missed Colin and Helen for the last few years.

I am as I’m sure many others are, really looking forward to this. Even though I am without a TVR I always enjoy seeing them on track! Great soundtrack which I miss.

It will be good to see a few friends as well, these circumstances are rare nowadays.

Here’s hoping for good weather!

Before Cadwell, I am being indulgent and have track days booked for Brands, Lydden Hill and Mallory Park. I hope I survive!

As long as it's only the year reversed and not the direction of travel ;-)

Not long to go now. It’s all down to the weather to make a good day great!

Anthony, is Alun coming down with you?

Apart from the 220 miles drive there, I’m really looking forward to it!

You will of course be more than welcome to stay over Thursday night Alun if that makes it easier for you. Ditto you, Peter.
I can offer you dinner, an electric hitchup and breakfast if you prefer to stay in the motorhome
I would plan to be leaving for Cadwell just before 6am Friday, car on trailer if the weather is iffy, car on its wheels if the weather is settled.
Decision to made on Thursday - it will be on R888Rs if the forecast is dry, but I will need the Rainsports too if the forecast is mixed.

Looking forward to this. Not taken my Chimaera on track (but have done a few track days in other people cars), I’m in the novice section.

Any tips on prep for the day? What tyre pressures are best? I’m on standard wheels 15Front and 16Rear. Normally run 23-25psi. Do I want to have this any different for the day? Presume I want to make sure fluids all topped up but do I want to have a full tank etc.

Any pointers welcome as someone else has always sorted these things in the past! Be good to go there ready rather than be faffing on the day.

I will be leaving home at 7.50am - the benefits of living 10 mins away! smile

A good starter would be to put another 3 or 4 lbs into the tyres and then check them hot when you come in after a least the first session. They'll all have gone up in pressure, which is ok, but I'd expect you'll need to drop the nearside front's pressure to be in line with the other three. Remember to put then back to you normal set pressure (hot) before you leave.

You seem to have covered fluids. I wouldn't run a full tank, maybe 3/4. Fuel is available on site. Check of wheel bearings is advisable.

Make sure everything is secure in the car and enjoy. smile

Regarding fuel, you will be surprised at rate of consumption!

My 5.5 Chim would drop to 5mpg and get fuel starvation problems at less than 60 miles used!

Even my Boxster 3.4 drops to 12
mpg.

Don’t run short……….
