Guys
Anyone fancy a Peak District blast on Sunday. TVRCC Staffs region are heading out from Trentham Gardens at 10:30 for around 80 miles of Peak District action. The more the merrier I say

I've a TOm tom route file if anyone needs it - or sign on to the TVRCC forum as details are up there too.
Cheers
steve
Hi Steve,
That sounds a nice way to spend my Sunday morning, if you have the route details that would be great. Any idea on numbers of cars?

Pm me an email address and I'll send you the file. Not sure of car but I'd expect at least half a dozen
Weather will be a factor I'm sure
Cheers
Steve

Well - numbers exceeded expectations ( I think around 10-12 cars ) - Quattrophenia - was that you - I recognised someone from the SCP but didn't get chance to say hello again.

Hi All,

I just wanted to ask who it is that drives past my house as they head in to Crewe from Shavington so approaching Gresty Road.
There is a silver grey Tuscan who sounds his horn ever time he passes but I always seem to catch site of him just too late.
The same with a silver with dark blue roof Chimaera, always spot him too late.
Thanks,
Tony.

Hi Steve, Yes was me enjoying the sights and particularly the sounds of the peak district. Sorry I didn't get to say hello, but you know what it's like when us chaps get talking about cars!
Was a good drive out, especially bringing Bakewell to a virtual standstill! I heard several kids tugging on their dads coats and asking what cars they were, usually followed by the said dads squinting at the back end of the cars and saying TVR's. I think most of the attention was aimed at the gorgeous blue Sagaris in front of me, great car to be following and chasing for 2 hours!
Always nice to have a drive out occasionally as you really feel the 'club' spirit and even the sound of a speed 6 is starting to grow on me! Maybe we should try a SCP drive out in a few months?

Agree - we've got some good roads around us so should try to do something before the weather sets in too much - What do you think Clive ?

Weather is getting better, and mine is permanently back on the road after 18 months of fettling and fornicating about...
It's a very different beast to when it last appeared at the Rising Sun.

Calling All Posse members!!
SOS dot dash dot etc etc...

Finally got the pennies together and booked the P&J into trackvroad for full suspension replacement etc etc to get her back on the road for the 'summer'.

one prob, as of last week she won't start! Tries to, turns over, but dosent 'catch'.... the car is due to be trailered to trackvroad on Wed. 9th, but needs to be facing the other way round!! Currently pointed into the garage and it needs to be turned around.
Being a mechanical numpty, I can sort it out myself, any chance a posse member can either get her turning over so I can manouvre her around or failing that give me a hand to do it manually???

"Your my only hope Obi Wan..." (forgive me , it is Star Wars day...)

Sorry Cuffia, i can't help - living in holland atm.

However i am interested in a drive with some fellow TVR owners in south cheshire. I live near Malpas SY14 8DP (it's in cheshire - promise!) and i've seen a couple of chims about. Maybe they were just on road trips, but if anyone fancies a drive/beer, then i'm free 17th-20th May.

Let me know

Thanks for the reply!
I've heard of Malpas, isn't it in The Lord of the Rings??!!
If I get the car back by the 20th a run sounds like a good idea. Maybe just meet up for a beer if not. Which part of Holland are you in, I used to travel to Den Bosch and Rosmalen alot a few yrs ago...
All the best,
Cuffia.

Very good, malpas is the last outpost before wales...

I'm in Leiden during the week, but i get home every other weekend (ish) to enjoy my car and see some friends. Unfortunately i've been invited to Norway on the 20th, so might have to postpone. Hope your repairs go ok and you're back on the road soon smile

Thanks for the replies....also good to know I'm not the only mechanical lightweight out there!!
Seriously, thanks for the offers.
Ian from trackvRoad did a cracking job of getting my car sorted on the trailer and away. So far so good and all being well I'll be loud and proud again by the end of the month/ early June.
I cannot wait.
Look forward to catching up with you all soon, together with a few new SCP members??
all the best,
Cuffia.

Hi all,
Just wanted to say hello.
Couldn't offer any 'push the car' help as I'm not back for another week.
Wheels are off the Tuscan for reconditioning. Should be back on tomorrow ready for a service at TorqueRVT before I get home for my drive.
