Thats pretty impressive.
3rd picture down shows an office chair in the middle to give a sense of scale for that set.

Me too My first degree was in ID so I spent three years building models of stuff so it appealed as a job. What put me off was I predicted - erroneously it's been proved - that there would be no call for practical effects as CGI would have taken over completely.

Funnily enough I was once offered a job at the HSE too.

A piece of distinctly H.R. Gigeresque spaceship is delivered to the set of Prometheus which has now moved to Iceland as well.

The cast list for this is quite sparkling as well

Noomi Rapace
Michael Fassbender
Charlize Theron
Idris Elba
Sean Harris
Kate Dickins
Guy Pearce
Logan Marshall-Green
Ben Foster
Rafe Spall
Benedict Wong
Emun Elliot

Fassbender plays the Android in this one.

Here's another prop on-set in Iceland:

Looks like the landing foot of a Spaceship and that they'll CGI the rest of the craft.

Off the back of this thread I popped into HMV on the off-chance and was very happy to see the DVD anthology for sale:

Alien
Aliens
Alien 3
Alien Resurrection
Predator
Predator 2
AVP
AVP2

£15!

And they include the Special Edition as well as the Theatrical release on each DVD so it's nearly double the fun for £15 (I'm not sure if there are SE's of P1 and P2).

Perhaps only the special “reframed” edition of P1 were you can’t see Carl Weathers’ arm stuffed down the back of his trousers after having it shot off by the Preditor.

Has anyone just read that script that has also played through the Assassins Creed games?

First footage released at San Diego Comic Con:

Apparently, its a return in look and feel to 'Alien' and the picture released certaily looks like it.

£15 is a very good price but you have to bear in mind that only 3 of those films are actually worth repeat viewing (can you guess which?)

As for Prometheus, after seeing those shots I am starting to be quietly optimistic.

I'm loving this thread and seeing the stuff come together, I find it fascinating. The image above I think is just a chunk of crashed spaceship, it's all burnt at the top, so I can't see where it would extend by CGI to form a bigger ship.
