It's official. Bond 23 will be called Skyfall. Empire magazine are at the press conference now.

Cast:

Sam Mendes directs.
Daniel Craig as 007 (obviously)
Dame Judi Dench as M
Naomie Harris -Moneypenny
Bernice Marlohe - Bond girl called Severin
Albert Finney - unknown role
Ralph Fiennes - unknown role
Javier Bardem - Villain

Excited? Yep.

Now more pertinent to PH - what car will he be driving?

I think Aston still have the contract, so i'd like to see him in the Virage. NOT A BLOODY CYGNET.

If not an Aston, maybe an early appearance for the production version of the jag C-X16... lick

Excited but already dreading the 'official sponsorship partners' as Ron Dennis would say.

Cue copius shots of watches, cars or alcohol again. frown

I'd like to see Bond in a Bentley. Getting it sideways around Berkeley Square.

As Fleming intended.

Oh my. Naomie Harris isn't too shabby either. Not convinced on the title though.

I am excited about this but you have to love the studio hyping up the announcement, it will be exclusively available on iPad for Sky subscribers etc. and all they announce is stuff that everyone has known for weeks (alright they have confirmed the rummours, but no new information)

I think it's better than the Brosnan days.

Indeed. Bond could be so interesting. Empire did an article yonks ago; Bond in the 50s, real time, set all in in London, Bond as the bad guy.

If he manages even 10% of the gernal nastiness of his part in "No country for old men" then this could be good!

Could possibly be the nastiest bond villain ever. Not sure about best though, Blofeld will always be the classic bond villain....... he had a cat!

But Bond is MI6. If the action is in the UK, that is MI5's jurisdiction is'nt it?

Isnt the whole point of Bond that he sorts out threats to the realm in foreign climes?
