Have we had this yet, longest in the galaxy and the only one to reach Plaid speed as far as I know.

I know we've already had them mentioned way back in the thread but the alien ship in 'UFO' has always been my favourite (in fact all of the ships / vehicles from the series) there was something really sinister about them despite looking so simple, especially the sound they made.....

Not mine but looks like a decent model....

The first episode 'Identified' was shown on the Talking Pictures channel again last night, and apart from George Sewell's cheesy attempt at chatting up Wanda Ventham it still has that dark spooky vibe it had when I first saw it as a kid fifty odd years ago. As alluded too earlier by another poster, for its time it really was quite heavy for a supposed kid's programme, with theme's of loss, regret, fear, death, paranoia, kidnap, organ harvesting etc. The contact lens removal in the opening titles and Paul Foster almost drowning in green fluid when Gabriel Drake's character (cloud9) removed his alien helmet in a later episode gave me the heebee geebees at the time!

Oh, and another vote for the Eagles from 'Space 1999'....

Apologies for wandering off topic but I recently told my Mrs that yes, we can have an electric car or a hybrid as our next car but only if it looks and sounds like Ed Straker's hehe

(Bonus geeky trivia - the Jensen Interceptor seen in some of the scenes shot at Elstree belonged to producer Reg Hill and was also used in an episode of 'The Protectors' wink)

You'll want to be following Tom Smith then (of B5 scrolls fame) who has been busy re-rendering scenes:

Shame it got cancelled.

It always used to annoy me they used the pilots as grunts in some episodes, although I guess that gave the producers scope to vary the show. But from a military standpoint it would be madness due to the cost of training pilots.

It does help that "SA-43 Hammerhead" appeared on the pic of the Saratoga a couple of posts back though. I'd have struggled to remember the "SA-43" bit myself otherwise. smile

Yeah, I confess I reminded myself of the SA-43 bit from the pic but I did know that it was a Hammerhead Endo/Exo Atmospheric Attack Jet.
Still, at least I'm not going down a black hole listening to Johnny Cash. Although that might not be such a bad thing. smile
