Suits - on Dave

As for us comedies only portraying good looking/cool characters?! Frasier, mash, Seinfeld, curb, 30 rock, Eastbound, community.... I'm getting tired now , all shot through with massively flawed characters, often a huge amount of pathos, very well written and above all, as hilarious as anything from this side of the pond.
Comedy tastes are unique but I've always been baffled by the misplaced superiority complex we brits have over it.
Y'see, I've tried watching all of those and struggled to laugh once, let alone worked out why the studio audience suffers mass organ rupture every time someone famous walks on stage or someone comes out with the mildest of asides.Comedy tastes are unique but I've always been baffled by the misplaced superiority complex we brits have over it.
Two and a Half Men is the worst offender by far. Existed purely as a plinth upon which Charlie Sheen's addled ego was mounted.

Still really enjoying this - probably my favourite show at the moment.
No start date to S2 over on Dave, so I gave in an got it from the States. No spoilers, but you won't be dissapointed; enjoyed S2 more than S1.
Rafferty is brilliant as 'Donna'.
Enjoying S2 as well. Better then S1 now the characters have had chance to develop. No start date to S2 over on Dave, so I gave in an got it from the States. No spoilers, but you won't be dissapointed; enjoyed S2 more than S1.

Despite some lazy writing at times where you get the feeling they backed themselves into a corner that they weren't sure how to get out of, it really is very entertaining and an easy watch.
The character development has come on leaps and bounds this season as well - particularly like how Louis is becoming a lot less 'one dimensional' and Donna is basically my ideal woman.
Looking forward to this week's finale!

How the audience respond is definitely a more US thing - like cheering and shouting in the cinema. Doesn't relate to whether the show is any good or not tho I reckon.....
Season 2 starts here in January. This runs straight through to episode 16. The US have already aired the first 10 episodes of season 2, I've watched this by other means over here. The last 6 episodes of season 2 start in January for the US.
Also, who said Donna was their ideal woman? Hands off!
