We attack tomorrow under cover of daylight

Daylight Sir?

Yes, it's the last thing they'll be expecting. A daylight charge over the minefield

You mean you've been playing the idiot Rimmer all this time? What did you think of the nympho planet?

they were so clever, its amazing to think the plot was only 30 minutes long. I think my favourite was the one where they erased their memories after the fishing trip, Lister had a broken foot etc

A superb idea sir with just 2 minor drawbacks.
1. We don't have any jet powered rocket pants
and
2. There's no such thing as jet powered rocket pants outside the fictional TV series Robbie Rocketpants

Definitly wend down hill when Konchanski joined (season 7?) but it did improves slightly in season 8. Not impressed with the new episodes though.

I went to see them filming the season 8 episode "Pete" with the dinosaur roaming the ship, and my then girlfriend reckons she can hear my laugh on the soundtrack. It's was a day out, they were filming a double episode and had already shot some bits, and other special effects bits still to do, so they worked through in sequence showing the stuff they'd filmed on the screens to get the audience laughter, then filming live action bits and occasionally putting up a description of a bit they still had to do. Craig Charles was also telling some stories while they were waiting for stuff to happen.

Christ that's a bargain!! I recorded all of the shows on VHS when they were on BBC2 the first time around, then bought the DVD re-releases individually as they came out.

I thought so too! £20 for so many hours of entertainment - can't fault it! smile

This. A thousand times this. She is absolutely awful, and a terrible addition to the cast. I'd have rather they left Rimmer's space empty.

I preferred the first iteration of that (as with several gags in those two series, they milked them to death)

"An excellent plan, sir, with just 2 minor drawbacks
1. We don't have any lasers
2. We don't have any lasers

Now, technically, I realise that's only one, but it's such a big one, I feel it was worth mentioning twice"

(from memory, so probably a bit off)
