New Trailer. Highlights includes Daleks, Lots of Daleks. Robot saying in a very nerdy voice "We're very cross with you". The Doctor, Rory and Amy riding a Triceritops. AND....

Rory. "Who killed all the Daleks?" Doctor Carrying Amy "Who do you think?"

It's getting to that time of year I pull out the box sets and re-watch my favourite episodes.

Thanks for the nudge, I am very excited about the new series.

Didn't they say they were going to pension off the Darlecks? My Son will be bursting at the seams when I show him this later!

Took him to the Doctor Who Experience last weakened. Hmmmmm.

The bronze Daleks were going to be replaced by the colourful Power Rangers Daleks, but they proved to be unpopular and so are rumoured to now be an "officer class" in charge of the bronze ones.

Incidentally, the first episode, Asylum of the Daleks, features every previous model of Dalek that the Doctor has ever encountered, including the old 1960's versions and the Special Weapons Dalek from 1988's "Remembrance of the Daleks". biggrin

Yes I realised it wouldn't actually be a borg, it just looked like one.

Just saw the Ad on TV as well!

I thought he was getting a new girl & they were retiring Amy & Rory? Or is that at the end of this series?

It is pretty close, and wouldn't be surprised to find that they put in various easter eggs, nods to shows that the writers have enjoyed.

The big robots look pretty cool. In fact, the whole thing looks pretty darned good.

End of the series, the new girl has already been announced.

That's no Borg, that's a Simulant from Red Dwarf and it looks like a remake of the Gunmen of the Apocalypse episode.

Amy and Rory leave in episode 5. The new girl (played by Jenna-Louise Coleman) arrives in the Christmas Special.

I worked on the "power rangers" daleks... mainly the blue one... i never liked them at first but when you see the size of them in person and the work that goes into em you would change your mind. that said the bronze one from the ecclestone / tennant series was awsome !!

I read that the only reason they are so much bigger is because current doctor + amy are much taller than Tennant and billy piper?

If the Paradigm Daleks didn't have that sodding great hump and that "weapons hatch" at the back (meaning that now a Dalek can actually pull a new weapon out of its arse) I might have liked them a bit more. I can kind of see what they were trying to do, but they should have been painted in much more metallic colours than the ones they ended up with. That said, I understand that they have been given a metallic finish for the new episode.

My favourites are definitely the bronze ones though.
