Huge amount of work and expense just for deep dish wheels.

How strange that the PH ad states that a new crate motor was fitted by Brewer yet the show, which I watched with my OH & son, only showed Edd changing the jets? (I also thought that he should have pointed out that the lean jets should be temporary to avoid damage to the engine afterwards)
In fairness, the car was running rich which would have a far more detrimental effect. I imagine the jets fitted would be the correct jets as demonstrated by the emissions.

The engine point was very odd. It may be that the engine was a crate engine to start with if it's been built to a high standard as they are not hugely expensive and there was no mention of it having covered any previous mileage. I suspect that someone somewhere didn't have a clue. Even Ed said it was the 6.2 350 but a 350 is of course a 5.7 and even the seller was quoting 360hp which is par for a good 350 crate engine.

When they did their calculations, they also forgot the cost of those headrests and the new plates and the fog light and doubtless many other things and what the hell was the "sale" about if it's for sale.

Nice car though, if you like AC Cobra kit cars.

how come when they put the new wheels on there were some cheapy tyres on the wheels, then the next shot is ed and mike sitting next to the car and it spontainsouly grew a set of brand new t1r's.

any why pay the expense of image rims and then get the most horrible ones. 1500 quid wheels, 1250 quid for an exhaust. imagine the profit if they didnt waste as much money

I'm not a Cobra aficionado (who is?) but they looked fine to me.

If it's the green one featured in the programme trailers it'll be a real eye opener as it's a very unique car.

Ah, good find! I had to give up my TV package to save a few quid each month, and can't see any of this series anymore.

I'd never put black ones on, they were also cheap versions, not that they would put proper single nut wheels on but there are nicer copies about.
Also notices they removed the spinners for the test as they are illegal.

The red one shown on youtube is not the one featured on Discovery's trailer for the forthcoming Wheeler Dealer Mk2 episode. A green Mk2 with bonnet straps being driven by Mike has been shown just about every time the Cobra programme has been repeated.

Sometimes Mike drives an owner's car as an example of how good he wants his own car to be. Not saying that is the case here but worth noting.

Good point. My take on it is that I can't see Mike's budget stretching enough to buy the red one shown in the video. However, the green one shown in the trailer is non standard and may well have been "cheapish" in comparison to something more original.
We shall have to wait and see.....................

The seller of that Mk2 didn't look too happy when he shook on £6800 laugh Also, was it just me or did that suspension seem very stiff?
