It will though as its a crash repaired modified F40 in a non-resale red colour.

That is true but unfortunately still has the stigma attached. Id own it as F40

Was looking at LS swapped old American Muscle, they start from $100-300k

Anyone watching the latest series discovery is saying its the final series too. Brian bass has now left the show, the Datsun 280z they built in 2017 has been burnt down in a transporter fire.
They did a replica buick indy car racer which was pretty good end result. Russell though brings nothing to the show at all.

It died when Aaron left. Richard is so far up his own arse now he'll need an operation to answer the phone. Plus that bearded tt Russell from Garage Rehab ruins it. Its run its course and its well past its best, sad, as it used to be my favourite "car" show at one point.

Thing is when he's doing interviews he comes across as a totally different guy very humble for an American anyway and he does a lot for local charities. Agree about Russell from what ive heard the garage rehab thing got canned but Russell has a contract with discovery for another year so they put him on the show to honour the contract.

I wondered if they were setting up a new Bass Kustom series.

Not much online but it is definitely the last season. I follow Jason on Instagram who is now working for Barrett Jackson. He replied to a comment saying he has only moved on due to filming finishing permanently. A shame for me, watched this for years!

Just got Sky at mine so tuned into a much more recent FNL the other night and was shocked at the difference between it and the old ones I'd been watching on Quest. Had no idea Aaron had left, Richard has piled on quite the beergut and there were no personalities left in the garage. It was actually slightly more interesting from a motoring POV as there seemed to be more building stuff at the cost of the fun stuff but the whole atmos seems to have really gone down. Shame. Richard may be a nice guy off camera but I'm not sure I could work for him.

I did comment when he first appeared that the only possible reason for him being there had to be something contractual, he adds a fat nett zero, well, that's not entirely fair, he detracts massively from the show overall. Useless, unfunny and gets in the way.

Shame it's run it's course, in the early days it was very good but the show and the whole GMG franchise have become a bit of a parody of themselves now.

I’ve watched a few episodes of ‘Aaron needs a a job’, he seems like a nice guy when talking to other people on the show. I only watched a few because it wasn’t the best, a bit boring!

I follow Gas Monkey Garage on Facebook and a vast majority of posts were all slating Russell.

As already mentioned, it does appear that its run its course but there is a few car shows about to keep us entertained.

Iron Resurrection seems good, they build some fine cars. Perhaps a bit too many clips of people working with some rock music over the top but it's decent enough.

I like Richard, he's the ultimate no-nonsense boss. That Russell comes across as a proper brown nose and he adds nothing to the show. Will watch to the end as I've enjoyed every season, it's a cliche but all good things do have to come to an end. Can't believe how many Cartier bracelets Richard has laugh

This is a good article on how Richard made it all happen https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/311585

Just clicked and didn't realise it is now behind a paywall, sorry. Lite version here https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottking/2019/03/12/...

He's a boss remember he buys & sells a lot of (small & high $) cars that are never shown on the show it's his main income.

Going back to the first mega race I have heard reports that discovery set up 2 races with chief and murder nova of street outlaws against Richard and ak that was the original contracted part between the 2 series. When ak left Richard threw up the rule book and got the pro team into build and race the car and ak then raced farmtruck and Asian as shawn(murder nova) backed out of the deal because of it.

Really like Richard, I think a fair bit is him playing a 'character' but he is a petrolhead at heart and I imagine a good guy to sink a few beers with.

maybe not to work for though - I seem to recall that AK whilst not slating RR wasn't exactly complementary

Our MD is just like Richard Rawlings, just have to manage up with people like him and always be on your toes - which is what they want anyway.

AK always came across as a belligerent little so and so to me. Much prefer Jason in terms of personality.

And vice versa - RR has talked about AK, whilst not slating him, quite negatively - I think in his autobiography?

It has definitely lost something for me but caught up on the latest last night.
