If they finally want to kill it off, then a PC appointment of a lady or gay or whatever, is the way to go.

After the last series stuffed full of clumsy PC lecturing and and anti-capitalist BS, Dr Who should be in the BBC bias thread.

I'm hoping it is. The format needs a massive shake up, at least for a couple of seasons.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was Nadiya Hussain as she ticks all the BBC boxes. One thing for sure itain't going to be another white male as it will have to pass the diversity test.

I hope you're wrong but doubt if you are. If it's anyone overly PC/BBC I wont be watching in the future, I've almost had enough already.

Probably be Graham bloody Norton or similar.

BBC news is banging on about how many will be disappointed if the doctor is white and male.

What's Julian Clary doing these days?
Or Eddie Izzard?
Or Sue Perkins?
Or Sandi Toksvig?
Or Tilda Swinton? ( I think she would be good )

It is a shame Patrick Moore popped his clogs - He would have been a brilliant candidate.

I'm going for a black, lesbian/ trans/ doesn't identify with gender, wearing ill fitting clothes who sympathises with Daleks.

Lot of BBC hate on this thread...😂

Kind of amazed/disappointed this hasn't leaked out on Twitter yet.

I saw that this morning. I wont be one of the ones who are disappointed.

If you think about it he was born white & male on Gallifrey, well until we have a story that tells us otherwise.

Oooooooohhhhhhhhhh yerrrsshhh.

BBC radio presenter slipped and referred to the new Dr as 'she' last night, then tried to correct, was hard to tell if it was just a slip or his brain leaking the truth.

As for why the 'BBC hate' - simple, we are 'forced' to pay for it, it is not the BBC's job to program us how to think in a PC manner, it is its job to honestly inform and entertain.

It is failing on both accounts badly.

Personally I'll be 'disappointed' if the next Wonder Woman movie doesn't cast RuPaul in the lead.

Got nothing to do with it & it's not only the BBC. Look at Hollyoaks for example, the makers would have you believe that 90% of Chester is LBGT.

I can really see it being Olivia Coleman, which I think wouldn't be a bad choice.

Anyone got the viewing figures for the last series or two? I assume they've been dropping off?

I don't think it really matters who they intend to cast, they'll manage to utterly fk the whole thing up whoever they get. Stunt casting will just accelerate the process.

Yawn, not as though you didn't sign up to promote a single cause with that name is it.

Insulting and belittling any non-compliance with your PC nonsense - not very tolerant is it.

Ah the classic PC diversion, cite one example that suits your needs, ignore the fact it is near 100% on the BBC.

It is very much the BBC, but other broadcasters are climbing on the bandwagon, true.

Why would casting a woman or a black person be classed as PC?

The show is called Dr Who not Dr Man, there are such things as female doctors and it's canon that timelords can change gender. Get over it.
It's a denial of the origins of the story, it would always be a man.

There was no rule/precedent about time lords changing gender until the BBC decided to get all PC with the plots recently.

Like I said, it will kill the show, not that it needed any more killing.

Keep kidding yourself if you like, but you aren't a Dr Who fan.
