Why was matey learning to ride his bike so high up. Purely so he would be able to toss it down into the spooky forest I presume.
Well out of the way so no one would see him. I'm sure it would have been quite embarrassing if someone did.

Nothing at all to do with race, it was an observation of the agenda of the BBC is all, to which they openly admit:

https://www.tvguide.com/news/doctor-who-steven-mof...

"History is always white washed," says Moffat. "How do we manage to have a diverse cast despite that? The way that we did it was ... [to just] say that you will see people of different colors there. In fact, there were. People all didn't arrive in the twinkle of an eye. It is bending history slightly, but in a progressive and useful way."
How noble of the BBC to put things right by black washing history.

Watched it with my wife last night.

I had given up on WHO after Tennent so wasnt really interested but my wife was. She isnt a sci fi person at all and was specifically just watching as it was a woman in the role, she probably wont watch the rest but wanted to support etc.

As a big sci fi fan myself i thought it was fine, a bit all over the place and predator did it better in 1987, but i am reserving judgement, Moffat is out and he was the main reason i fell out with WHO, his writing was crap.

I prefer episodes that arent set in current date UK, so next week may be better for me, ill give it a few episodes and see if its worth a return.

i still really dont like her short trousers outfit.

I've watched it and I really enjoyed it - I don't understand how/why the guy on the train was chosen though, it felt a bit odd frankly

I may be alone in this, but there were elements of the story that I felt were lifted from the Matthew Reilly book "Contest"...

I thought the hunter said a target was chosen at random.

I was talking about the BBC's policies in general. Thanks for the pineapple though.

One review I saw asked if it was a tribute to Mork and Mindy.

Interesting that it seems to have moved from a Cardiff centred programme to a Sheffield centred one. (No idea where it was actually filmed).

Perhaps with a Yorkshire born star they decided to Yorkshire up the whole programme.
I am pretty sure some of it was at least. I recognised some of the camera shots from when I lived / worked there.

The scene outside of the house near the end was Sheffield, at least I think it was lol. I am pretty sure the view was central Sheffield.

Colin has said that his original idea for the costume was what Eccleston wore much later one, a black leather jacket. But the producers foisted that patchwork bks on him.
