I enjoyed it.
The Doctors heart-on-sleeve pacifism is getting a bit tiresome however. I sometimes miss Capaldi's fire and brimstone.
I think we are guilty of seeing past Doctors with too much nostalgia and a selection approach to judging past episodes.
I caught some of the Tennant-era ones with Captain Jack and to be frank, they were bobbins. The only hiding behind the sofa going on was out of embarrassment.

Jodie Whittaker is an awful actress... I was against the idea of a female doctor from the start but a good actress would have swayed me (shame Olivia coleman or michelle Gomez couldn't have done it)
Also the fanatical left wing tilt drove me away in the Capaldi era. Unbearable at times. This season has just been a myriad of social equality and trying to include every creed, race and such which is just so obvious it makes it a little frustrating. to clarify its frustrating as its trying to push a political agenda of equality and I don't want to watch that I get enough of it in the real world!
A good show gone to waste

I've enjoyed this series of Dr Who, the dynamics of the show have changed, and it's a lot more interesting than it has been for a long time. I think the old show was starting to run out of steam, and I dont think it had anywhere else to go.
The series it most reminds me of, is the RTD relaunch year, which spent the whole year building the characters and Tardis family. Whereas that series relied on classic Who monsters, the Autons and Daleks, this series totally ignored them and went its own way, which I think is refreshing (a little like the Pertwee relaunch).
I've enjoyed the new Tardis crew, Bradley Walsh has been great, but it's often encountered the problem of too many characters and not enough story to go around, but that accusation can also be aimed at every era of classic who too. It's maybe more pronounced now that a story has to fit into 50 minutes.
It's been good to get some new writers to the genre involved, although its often felt like aliens or sci-fi elements have been tacked on to make it Dr Who, when they could have been straight stories.
I'm disapointed that the series does not air next year, but excited at the direction the new show has taken.

Same here. Not quite sure how I managed to hang in there until the final episode - didn't stop wanting it to be good, I guess.
Relative to the rest of the series, this episode was definitely better than the dross served up previously. That said, the Doctor still seems a bit 'thick' compared to those who've gone before her - can't still be down to the recent regeneration, surely.
I hope the writers listen to the comments & critiques this series has generated and manage to turn it around when the next one airs.
Oh, and thanks to the photo posted a few pages ago, I've had to make a conscious effort not to focus on the screwed-up-nose face JW keeps pulling
