Watched Norsemen last night. It's a norweigan comedy series about Vikings. Some funny moments!
It has.a lot of the same writers and cast as lilyhammer although the subject is very different, I enjoyed both hugely though.

"Keepers" a bit hard work for the simple reason watching people (young girls/women) who had been abused by Priests in the US telling their horrific stories.

it was very very funny and probably worth watching a second time.
Just to add another +1...very funny show, though I can see that some people won't enjoy that type of comedy.

Just watching Star Trek Discovery. Acting and script very wooden (so nothing new). Just about watchable. Rubbish new theme tune!

Apols... I see there is a dedicated thread for this.

Can I recommend Gaga - Five Foot Two.

Great insight behind how a megastar tries to deal with the lifestyle, how a diva personality can be perceived from non-diva-like attitude and ultimately the reason why her early years make her look batst mental.

Death Note - terribly stupid monster and well worth the watch, not going to be getting any awards but I enjoyed it.

The Circle - Tom Hanks and Emma Watson, could have been better but still enjoyed it for its Black Mirror like story line. A vision of what we're all signing up for.

Carp TV remake I agree is pants. Original Manga (which is also on there) is excellent if you're into that sort of thing.

The Good Place..

A light comedy about where a woman ends up after dying - some laugh out loud moments- one really annoying character but other than that some easy viewing that I am quite enjoying..

I gave it a try, I like her music, but the whole ''living in a bubble'' filled with sycophantic yes people wears thin. I got bored.

i might give it another go, but it just felt like an advert for Gaga with nothing ground breaking and a bit boring really.

I half watched it with the missus. She came across OK in places, but spectacularly arrogant in others. And, as you say, the sycophants are borderline unbearable.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, but I've been dipping in and out of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Don't understand how I missed it previously, brilliant show.

Both of these went down well at home.

Death Note was definitely enjoyable; have never read the original Manga, so no chance of that spoiling it for me.

The Circle was oh too believable, but it did seem to be missing something that would have taken it to the "next level".

Currently we're focusing on the expanse, which is absolutely stunning. Staying pretty close to the books too - but wonder if Syfy (and netflix - it is really a SyFy original, not a Netflix original) will try and keep going through the entire series of books. Currently 6, scheduled to be at least 9. I'm currently part way through the third. And that the first book appears to be series 1 and 2, that would be a good 18 series.
