New to Netflix and have watched all 3 series of Narcos - very well done and thoroughly enjoyed it together with finding out more facts from the internet. Much better than El Chapo which has horrible dubbing but still quite captivating. Also on series 3 of Homeland which i find a bit like a Marvel film - not really what would happen in real life.
Otherwise, a great decision to subscribe considering all the crap on terrestrial TV!

The War another Ken Burns deep-dive documentary, this time focused on America's involvement in WWII. Extensive and insightful, just like it's Vietnam counterpart.
Thanks for that, another excellent series. Makes me savour the fortune I have to be born in peace and not during this period of history.
FWIW I also noticed his Civil War docu-series is on there; not watched it yet but it's on the list.

You can just turn the dubbing off and revert to subtitles.

Damnation was good - enjoyed it very much..

Now just started

Money Heist - or Casa de Papel.

Highly rated on IMDB with current score of 8.8.

Only watched the first episode but I’m hooked- about a huge money robbery

You can watch with American dubbing or in Spanish with English subtitles ...

I have high hopes for this one based on episode 1 - has an element of oceans 11 mixed with Heat...

Yup. Some cracking little bite size episodes in there. Some quite dul/strange ones too.

First three series are genius. Gets a bit crap after that.
^that, we binged the first 3 series in a week and then started struggling and gave up. It's well worth watching the first few series though.

I started watching Shot in the dark. An utterly compelling documentary about news stringers in LA. Nobody will get to the end of episode 1 and not immediately start to watch episode 2....

Looks stunning in 4k but I only managed 2 episodes as I hated all the chasers/reporters whatever.

Agreed, I'm in season 6 now but it's a bit of a slog and it's lost its appeal. Not sure if I will finish it

Why the fk did he just sit there filming what was obviously going to end in a big crash? Oh, wait...

It's excellent. The guy that rescued the chap from the burning car was given a local commendation for his efforts. Properly messed with his head.

Hope there is another series.
