I watched 'The Circle' the other day, really enjoyed it. Seems to potentially be not too far away when you look at what Google are doing...
Great cast too - Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega.
i also watched it recently, with a little bit of anticipation as well after reading the book last year. The cast did bode well...Great cast too - Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega.
Thought it was total guff in the end. Black Mirror explores the same cautionary themes with much more visceral drama and shrewd points on the way technology is developing.
I also dont get why they had Watson and Boyega as the two American leads when they are both English. Admirable accents but strange choice?
It had all of the cool graphics and obviously budget of a big picture, but ended up feeling like a B-Movie.
Watched Flaked s1&2 starring Will Arnett as the main character - quite a californication vibe to it (inspite the locations being the same for both) I.e. Lovable rogue on a path of self-destruction, some good supporting characters- Cooler being the funniest!
So if you liked californication or Rake it's worth giving it a watch (imo)

just finished watching Lilyhammer. have to say i realy enjoyed it. its basically a mafiosi entering witness protection but decideds to go to lillyhammer in sweden . the man charachter is the same actor and pretty much the same character as Silvio Dante from the sopranos. very quirky and different type of show but i realy liked it. Also BBQ pitmasters is pretty good too.
Don't want to be picky but it's a series about life in Norway. I loved it and was a bit sad when it ended. A slow burner for sure but great when you get into it. I watched much of it in Norway and around Scandinavia and it's a very good.

These Final Hours - Went into it thinking it might be something of a dark comedy, but found it was actually just quite dark. The end of the world is just hours away in Australia, and the story follows a bloke who's on his way to a massive party but gets sidetracked by a young girl. The film is more a look at how different people deal with their impending doom than anything else. 6/10.
Thought this was pretty decent for an indie film. Quite realistic in parts.audidoody said:
