Just started Bate's Motel, not too bad, 2 episodes in...
Really enjoyed Bates Motel, still waiting for the final Season 5 to be added - and it's worth watching just for Vera Farmiga cloud9

Watched Deepwater Horizon about the BP cluster fk
I know a little about O&G but found parts astonishing- especially the low death count despite the carnage.
I actually enjoyed the film a lot.

'Discount Matt Damon' films are usually a bit hit and miss but I thought it was good.
Watched this last night. Very good film but "f@ck me" the whole operation was so slap dash if it's true to real events.

'The Circle' - Emma Watson (who's accent veers from English to Lloyd Grossman randomly) gets a job via her friend (the Scottish ginger one from Dr Who, who's accent veers from Scottish to Lloyd Grossman randomly) at Google Facebook a tech company run by Tom Hanks (who seems like he's constantly wondering how he got involved in this film) who collect information on everyone and have evil intentions hidden behind a benign corporate front.

Nice idea for a film, clumsily executed and about 50% too long. 5/10.

Z Nation.

A tongue in cheek, faster paced Walking Dead clone on steroids.

Only on E3 but wow, not for the squeamish.
Gave up on this eventually. Every episode seemed to be a little worse than the previous one.

USS Indianapolis is currently playing in the background because I'm too lazy to reach over and switch it off...it's rubbish. I expected a typical Hollywood over the top fast paced WWII film. Low expectations and they still weren't met.
There's a point in most films where you've invested so much time into it that you may as well see it through, and yet I find warning others off much more interesting than actually watching it.

it CANNOT be worse than Check Point 2/10 (4 of those points are for a reasonable soundtrack!)

Icarus is worth a watch. Great documentary about doping in sport that morphs in to a documentary about the Russian doping scandal.

Shockingly bad wasnt it! Considering the cast it should have been great. How many truly crap films has Tom Hanks been in?

  • nods head in agreement*. I picked it up from the sports part of the forum here after a few people recommended it.

In the middle of series 3 of The Killing at the moment. I watched series 1 years ago on one of the satellite channels (i think it was whatever FOX was called before it was FOX) . I rewatched from the very start. Really enjoying it, Joel Kinnaman is great.

Really looking forward to 'American Vandal' in September.

Mocumentary/parody of the 'true crime' type series. Love satirical stuff like this.

ETA - May not be safe for work in some environments.

Is this the one about the guy spray painting dicks everywhere laugh I don't want to watch the trailer as I've got a temperamental baby trying to sleep in the room. If it is, it looks hilarious!

I see the latest reboot of The Saint is now on Netflix, even has appearances but Roger Moore and Ian Ogilvy - although Val Kilmer obviously didn't get the invite...
