yes Parks And Recreation is another that can take time to really bond with the characters, but then the only way is up.
P&R is very sadly largely ignored in the UK. Channel Four should put it on at 8pm every Thursday night and it'd be a huge hit.

It's up there with all the very best sitcoms for me. I love it dearly.
+1 love it so much.

We are on the final series. Few dips in form now and then but over 7 series you can forgive them the odd dud when they are generally really good - personable without being over the top and very funny. One of the most watchable programs I've seen

The Brothers Grimsby.
Some very funny bits, but I'm not sure it's worth sitting through the unfunny majority.

Just finished The Sinner which was good (though not as good as Mindhunters imo). Slow start but a good strong finish - even though the ending came out of nothing really.

I am now in the need for more of the same. Detective, psychological, thriller, suspense, 'who did it' type of a show. Anything around? I have Prime as well...

I finished End Of The F***cking World. Bit disappointed at the end as I thought there was a second series, but it was definitely worth a watch.

On the third episode of The Outsiders currently. Quite interesting, but gets a bit silly in a ‘Mad Max meets Deliverance’ sort of way occasionally.

I used to work offshore with a guy who grew up as a Mountain Man, he had some interesting stories, I believe he was from the Appalachians. Strange guy, spoke a very strange mumbled English.

Except for the fly episode.
I find it highly unlikely someone could like it enough to watch all but the last episode. I ever give up early (first season or stick with it until the end).
I loved Breaking Bad, and even liked the Fly episode.

Since all the publicity about that episode, the producers have admitted that it came purely from running out of money and needing to film an episode extremely cheaply and quickly, in one easily controlled, low-cost location.

They also tried to post-rationalise that by saying the episode is a window into Walt's guilt-ridden descent into madness. I don't quite buy that.

Anyone else think that Alex Lawther (main character in "End of the ****ing world) looks like a younger version of Jeremy Clarkson or is it just me?

I finished Daredevil. I have done that and Punisher and liked them both - especially the latter.

Are the other Marvel offerings worth it?

Watching 'Betting on Zero', which is about Herbalife being a big scam and a hedge fund manager who has bet they'll basically go out of business.

Jessica Jones. Hell yeah.
Luke Cage. Pretty good.
Iron Fist. Meh.

I haven't seen Defenders or Punisher yet.

If you have Prime, these are essentials IMO;

Bosch
Startup
Goliath
Lucifer (much more light hearted)

I think I liked this. Long. Particularly the middle episodes which were more about developing the character of the landscape than the humans. And the horses. So many horses. If you like horses, then there is plenty of horses. I don't like horses. Or rather I don't actively dislike horses, I just don't particularly have a view on horses.

In the 60% of each episode where something happens, it's very good, which is about 5 out of the 9 hour or so run time. Beautifully shot and a good story. I made it to the end, a couple of eps at a time so it can't be that bad. Say 7.5/10.

Did I mention the horses?

Just started watching Manhunt: Unabomber. Really, very good. Not sure which is better, this, Mindhunter or The Sinner. All three are superbly well acted and directed.

Just finished Fargo season 3, it's exceptional as the last season. Shame it's only 10 episodes!

I thought it was great and not at all slow, and I can’t stand horses, bloody things

For me it was Manhunt, then Mindhunters and then The SInner. All good, but definitely in that order for me.

Season 3 is on there now? I didn't realise but saying that, I've not checked much out on Netflix lately. Can't wait to watch this now.

Just finished Mater of None last night. Already posted about it on here, but felt the need to say how good the second series was. Possibly it just struck a chord with me, but what a show season. Each episode was different, covered some really striking topics, was filmed beautifully (the first episode of S2 being a particularly romantic homage to post war Italian cinema) and included such an incredible range of emotions. It sounds a bit gushy, but 'New York, I Love You' was possibly one of the best episodes of any show I've seen. Who'd have thought 10mins of complete silence could be so powerful!

Being all soppy for a moment too, the realism of the relationship between Dev and Francesca was brilliant. Incredibly well acted from both Ansari and Mastronadi to the point you believe they're genuinely in love, and also very poignant for anyone who's ever been in a similar situation. I genuinely felt a bit beaten up by it all at the end of the series
