Netflix - What gems have you found?
Discussion
A show which seems to have gone largely unnoticed in this thread... The Detectorists.
It's a wonderful, relatively slow paced comedy with great characters, relationships you care about, subtle humour, pleasant scenery and a wonderful story arc across the three seasons.
Only two of the seasons are on Netflix, but it's a true gem IMHO.

Just finished watching Lillyhammer, it's kind of a sopranos for idiots, naturally I liked it
I liked this too, watched it some time ago now, I thought it was pretty funny and didn't seem to be taking itself too seriously as a sopranos ripoff, even complete with one of the cast!i've just started watching Unsolved. It's based on 2PAC & Biggie and their deaths and how they are linked / might be linked.
Pretty interesting so far and being a fan of both artists musics it's quite an interesting insight into what their lives may have been even if some things are over exaggerated to make it a good series.

This was mentioned above, I quite liked it although some of the acting was a bit suspect/cringey at times.Pretty interesting so far and being a fan of both artists musics it's quite an interesting insight into what their lives may have been even if some things are over exaggerated to make it a good series.
If you haven't watched it yet then I would recommend the defiant ones too, I also seen Notorious was trending on Netflix but I haven't watched this yet, didn't seem to get such great reviews but might give it a try.

For those that watched it looks like Keefe D on his death bed has pretty much fingered Orlando for the shooting. Have just watched this over the past couple of nights. A good little series, which plenty of well known character actors involved.I don't think the show reveals anything new to the case, but interesting enough to see the back stories and how things like the Rampart Scandal were interlinked with those events, and how the LAPD management seemed only interested in proving they weren't at fault.
Not on Netflix but Sky catch up. The TV series Get Shorty, based on the Elmore Leonard story that inspired the film with Travolta.
Only watched episode 1 so far but it's very much in the vein of Fargo or BCS. Stars Chris O'Dowd, unexpectedly. He's good, too. Also unexpected is Ray Romano in a serious role. Also good.
