Rex.
Based on a true story. A U.S. Marine dog handler battles to be reunited with the bomb-sniffing German Shepherd who saved her life in Iraq.
Rex is a bit of a problem dog (very aggressive) and the story centres on the building of trust and bond between dog and handler, which leads to the handler gaining some direction and focus in her life (and Rex shows a bit of his softer side).
Actually brought a tear to my eye - but then I love GSDs - and I know a British dog handler who served in Afghanistan. The bravery of the handlers and dogs needs to be admired.
Well worth a watch.

I so wanted to like this, but switched off after 10 minutes, the acting was awful.Based on a true story. A U.S. Marine dog handler battles to be reunited with the bomb-sniffing German Shepherd who saved her life in Iraq.

Maniac
just can't enjoy/watch it, yes looks great and seems to have just enough to get social media going but seems like it is trying too hard to be something it isn't. slow tedious, over hyped and st. 10 episodes can't do one
2/10
Have started this, but Killing Eve on the BBC won out for us for now. My OH didn't get into Maniac in the first show, so thats that. I'll watch it in my own time because I quite like the slower paced, quirky, Philip K Dick, alternate timeline kinda stuff. I like the fallout games, where its well in the future, they have robots and laser weapons and everything is nuclear powered, but the tech is decidedly 1950's. Same with Maniac, it seems like the present or ever so slightly ahead in time, but the elements of technology stopped in the 1980's. I particularly liked the Adboy? where you can pay for stuff if you're willing to have a fat man with a brief case talk at you for half an hour! haha.just can't enjoy/watch it, yes looks great and seems to have just enough to get social media going but seems like it is trying too hard to be something it isn't. slow tedious, over hyped and st. 10 episodes can't do one

I can see how you'll either love it, or you'll hate it... there won't be many who are luke warm on it.
