Watched the entire series 1 of The Sinner on Saturday night, and thought it was excellent.
Started watching series 2 last night - only watched the first two episodes and looks equally promising. The only negative is that I'd like to be able to step into the TV and smash the little kids face in - he is utterly annoying, and not in a "he's acting the part really well" kind of way.
Same as me. Started Series 2 last night as well after finishing (and really enjoying) Series 1.Started watching series 2 last night - only watched the first two episodes and looks equally promising. Anyone watched the new narcos yet?
Almost done
It’s good, I preferred S1 & 2 but still worth a watch
Actually feels like a completely different series to Narcos rather than a new series except for a few familiar faces playing different characters. All 3 programmes had the same producers, film crew etc behind them and have a similar 'feel' and its going to be a tall order to keep this new one feeling fresh when El Chapo covered alot in its 3 series
I sometimes feel that the Felix character looks like he isn't entirely sure how he has ended up where he is. It sort of feels like he should act a bit more confident/ruthless. A large part of the appeal of the first two seasons came from the charisma and presence of the Escobar character (nice to see a cameo from him) and Felix lacks that appeal imo.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - Coen brothers' collection of six short western films in one. Not a gem unfortunately, not one of the six stands out as anything special and both me and the OH were browsing ipads during the last couple.
It showed potential in the trailers, but as a western we thought Ridiculous 6 was better.Alex said:
The Haunting of Hill House.
I'm on episode 3 and I'm losing interest, TBH.
Me too. In theory it should be right up my street, but I'm not exactly rushing to see the next episode. Casting in part of the problem for me. And the Netflix drag - making a four part series stretch out to ten. I'm on episode 3 and I'm losing interest, TBH.
Plus - the dialogue and characters seem very off-the-shelf. The mother talks like a fridge magenta in every scene.

Plodding through the last series of House of Cards...
I’ve devoured the others over the years.
Not sure I can be arsed to finish it off....
I just don't care anymore. I sleepwalked through a couple of episodes before Narcos came out. Kevin Spacey, for all his issues, was a damn good lead actor. Robin Wright gives it a good go, but it seems so flat. I’ve devoured the others over the years.
Not sure I can be arsed to finish it off....
At least we still have series 1 and 2, they were bloody magnificent.

Last Kingdom is our brain-out entertainment guilty pleasure at the moment - nonsense but very watchable.

I noticed that series 3 of The Last Kingdom appeared on Netflix last night.
This one has been made without the BBC.
Appeared Monday morning. This one has been made without the BBC.
They must have been watching Game of Thrones since making the last series: the hand-to-hand combat, torture/execution and gruesome blood-spurting quotient has definitely increased
