Have been thinking this since FF- Spirits Within, which now looks like a game cutscene!
Yeah CGI is everywhere in films these days- Making Xavier or Samuel Jackson look young is the obvious one, but they add extra hair, remove tatoos, etc all the time. Can't remember the rather sedate film, but the guy who plays Hawkeye in the Avengers had his arms replaced in post production after he broke them!
The animation on that robot thingy is incredible, I'd like to see a "making of" at some point. "I spent the morning doing some minor nipple shading, as Dave was in a meeting. Once he was free, we paired on the pubes"
What I also liked was that the story was by none other than Alastair Reynolds, which is awesome. I just wish Banks was still here as I'm sure he'd be right up for something like this and The Cultures level of fantasy looks like it might finally be achievable on screen.

Tried to watch Gotti. Failed. I just found it a bit slow and eventually fell asleep.
It's a no from me.
Same here, slow and boring. Sonny the Bull got that name due to his appearance too. More like a stiff breeze could blow the character over. It's a no from me.
Just finished After Life. Not normally a Ricky Gervais fan but I thought it was really good.
Genuinely didn't know if the series would end with him being happier or hanging himself. And that scene where his dad remembers him absolutely fking broke me. I'm pleased the Mrs didn't look across to see my face creasing up.

After Life: enjoyed 5 out of 6 until the last episode went full treacle
The Dirt: fantastic fun, it's cheesy and it knows it
Good enough to pull my wife and daughter into the story, though... daughter never really heard of them (although she recognises some of the music thanks to being in the car with me her whole life), wife remembers them more for TLJ/PA and that tape. The date of when I saw them in Wembley did flash across the screen... #cough#1989#cough#

Has anyone watching the Umbrella Academy looked up the actor who plays Number 5?
I was curious to know how old he actually was. Turns out he is pretty spot on the age he is playing (he's 14) not that exciting but the rest of his biography blew me away. How can one so young have done so much and have so much talent!!

Bitterly disappointed by the first one, given we somewhat patiently enjoyed the first three quarters of it!
The Dirt - Motley Crue DocuFilm. Was decnet and i liked the interaction with the audience. I don't pretend to be a mega fan but looking back through the wiki's seems to be relatively close to actual events. I'm sure the film barely touches on a lot of the madness but it was wewll shot and enjoyable.

Based on a biography by....the band, exec producers were....the band so I suspect it shows them in a favourable light but....A good way to pass a couple of hours, they epitomised 80s rock excess and the film does a reasonable job of telling a story (seems to lose it's way a bit about 2/3rds through, as did the band at the time I suppose) with a lot of humour and style.
Ozzy's accent is terrible though - sounded like an Aussie Ozzy more than a Brummie Ozzy.

Yeah, agreed. It piqued my interest enough though to go looking for more. Seems a common formula. Few huys with little to no upbringing and have some talent / angst. Get a contract and all of a sudden they have millions and no idea what to do with it.A good way to pass a couple of hours, they epitomised 80s rock excess and the film does a reasonable job of telling a story (seems to lose it's way a bit about 2/3rds through, as did the band at the time I suppose) with a lot of humour and style.

This coupled with impossible schedules it's easy to see how they chose to cope the way they did i suppose.
