There was a terrible review by entertainment weekly, which they admitted to not watching it and gave it a 0 mark. Reddit is up in arms, so I expect there is a fair amount of retaliation 10 scoring going on.

It's a 6 or 7 out of 10 if you haven't read the books or played the games, it gains a point if you have.

Probably a six for ep1 (if you have no prior knowledge of the series). Geralt is great, everything else as generic fantasy as they come.
