Thinking about the last ‘ambush scene’, why didn’t Abarama Gold mow all but one of them down and send one back with the message?? Lives seem cheap but that would surely make sense? Leave the youngest/weakest one to go back with the tale and message??

But I guess that’s not the first time we have seen a plot hole/flaw.....

Hopefully it picks up soon as even my Mrs, who goes week at the knees at the sight of Cillian Murphy, is struggling to see much merit in it.

Because that would have started all out war? And he'd have the wrath of Thomas to deal with? He sent a message and avenged his son's death. That was what he wanted, he knows that the Shelbys rule and they will sort out any war.

I'm loving the new series. I think too many people here are treating it like a historical documentary, it's entertainment, no more or less.

But he didn't as no one died, his revenge will be the killing of the leader (future episode I am sure), a deputy could badly burnt with tar.

I get he wanted to provoke him not start a war, but once the Boys had arrived at the camp we not just hide in the perimeter of the camp and shoot the leader with your hunting rifle from distance?

For the same reason the James Bond isn't dead within 30 mins of every Bond film ever.

You've given The Wire only twenty minutes?

Shame on you...
Loved The Wire, so much so I struggle to watch anything else with actors in these days. Breaking Bad for me, for example, was awful even after I gave it 4 or 5 goes.

PB is just alright. This particular series is far too polished and the Mam character (can't remember her name) looked stupid dressed up like a fancy dress gangster when she met her son (again I don't remember his name either) and strutting in slow motion. It's borderline embarrassing really.

I don't think gold cares one bit about war, he said himself he has one more murder and thats him done. The war is just to flush out their leader I imagine

Was always aware of this from the start but never bothered with it.

Just binged on the first two series last week and am loving it so will avoid this thread from now on. hehe

I have to admit I was absolutely lost with the story last week but this week has just exacerbated it. I haven't got a Scooby Doo what's going on.

One other consistent is the cringe factor when the Mam comes into every scene to slow motion and music

Ha well that just demonstrates how I haven't a clue what goes on!

And maybe. Probably. Aye.

It seem's to be getting worse, it really does feel like the plot has been sacrificed for looking edgy/ overdone stylised shots.

It’s certainly a bit variable in this series. However, I’ll definitely stick with it as it has proved before that it’s not to be missed. Unlike Killing Eve, which I persisted with until halfway through series two but then gave up on... rolleyes

Surprised how readily all these gangs are prepared to take on the PB, considering Tommy's connections now.

Whenever they're attacked it's doom and gloom, yet other gangs relish the coming war.
