I suspected the end would just setup the final season, it did have a whiff of an East Enders whodunnit though.

Yip! Kept glancing at the clock thinking - they're not even going to show the Mosley speech/shooting never mind tidy up anything else.

Apart from that at least they've got me wondering everything that might be going on....

Finn's loose tongue is almost too obvious but I'm wondering who else the pet football guy is connected to. They made a point of signposting the loose talk thing a bit earlier in the episode through Arthur's visit to those two.

Alfie could still be messing with Tommy. You don't dig up a character like that for nothing and he's never likely to be an ally despite what he appears to agree.

Michael/wife making moves? You'd think he'd not sanction taking out his mother's future husband.

Can't be loyalists - Billy boys would know about it.

Whitehall - some daft Churchill political conspiracy.

Not read the whole thread so forgive me but anyone noticed Tommy coughing a lot...did the real character have a lung disorder or was the actor I’ll?

How did Finn know about the plot? He wasn't in the 'subsidiary meeting'

Peaky Blinders is very good, it's suspenseful and so on. But it isn't world class level, it's not The Wire or Breaking Bad and so on.
I agree, but I think Killing Eve is.
I disagree. I think Peaky Blinders is excellent and can be held in comparison to other 'world class' shows. Certainly better than the Wire (we gave it 5 episodes and still thought it a load of rubbish).
On the other hand, Killing Eve is/was OK, but was a bit farcical and childish.

You are wrong about The Wire.

Judging a 5 series show on 5 episodes rofl

Anyone who doesn't like The Wire, is wrong.

Anyone who doesn't like Breaking Bad, is wrong.

It's not even a matter of opinion, these are just facts.

Obviously not.
Plenty more threads on the same lines.

Are you for real?
How many hours of your life should a show be given to prove whether it's any good?
I'd say anyone who sticks with any show they're not enjoying after 5 hours/episodes is absolutely crazy. Life's too short.

I’ve not seen the wire, not sure where I was when it happened, but I agree with you on breaking bad. Will the wire still be good? or will it have dated badly?

I could find plenty more links praising The Wire than you could links slating it.

But you're right 5 episodes is plenty to judge a series of 60 episodes. You have the patience of a saint.

I'm not derailing the thread anymore.

You are welcome to the last word, should you feel the need.

I won't respond.

It’s number 7 on IMDb all time tv series ratings.

It’s obviously a massively popular series.

For me at least, this latest series of PB has been like a parody of itself (seems to be the norm these days). I didn't even bother with the final episode, as I was finding the script and slow-mo shots with music the producers think we may think is cool utterly cringe-inducing.

I could understand those slow mo's if they had a traditional 8-10 episode season.

But a mere 6 episodes, get on with it!!

I feel really short-changed by this latest series.

They haven't even given us a full story arc.
