Agreed with above, another great episode, definitely the tv highlight of the week for me.

I’ll definitely be thinking about this next time I put the kettle on in a Premier Inn though!

I was all set for a happy ending, two lonely souls in an empty sea finding each other, but no, the twist was as deadly as it was unexpected.

Loved the crazy hotel manager, was he in on it ?

I don't believe people piss in the kettles........... do they ?

Are we fking animals, my future stays at Travelodge will not be the same.
It’s worse - they boil wash their undies in them

Another great episode, lots of nice little touches..

Picking up the 'used' tissue with the pencils, then 10 minutes later licking one of the pencils when starting to write the notes eek

The unfathomable light switch for the shower... trying the door handle to the connected room etc etc...

Smiler.

I've been looking on Twitter at the #insideno9 posts. One comment was interesting, when she says "Sorry, what?" and he hadn't said anything, she would have been talking to someone in her earpiece, and then winged it to pass it off with him as not important.

Excellent episode. Shearsmith's hotel manager was beautifully disconcerting.

Part of the Govt plot - they had set him up as a patsy, knew that he’d be in that particular room etc etc

I'm... not sure. She knew his name was Muller, but that would be from the info on the setup, doesn't mean that he knew her. She never saw Muller herself did she, she hid in the bathroom when he was checking the room.

Surely if he was in on it he wouldn’t have been checking that he had a ”lady of the night” in his room?

I’m surprised there isn’t a post already about last nights episode.

I though Ted Hastings was great as Adrian Dunbar.

It was a good one, didn't see the hare, didn't see the last 5 seconds coming. Extra points for getting Pauline McGlynn to offer making a cup of tea hehe

I've never seen the hare yet - probably because after about a minute I'm so engrossed I forget about it!

Me too! Another good episode and once again I didn’t see the ending coming. Had a few guesses but all were way off.

Really look forward to my weekly fix of No. 9; will have to watch them all again at some point, right from the start of series 1

The insinuation was (as I understand it) the baby / boy that went missing (ryan) was hidden inside the doll - hence the skeleton hand poking out of the dolls body

..didnt see the hare this week though

Exactly that. Worth listening to the Inside Inside No. 9 podcast on BBC Sounds for more insights, but not until you've watched the episode.

And that the girl had stolen/killed the baby, not the parents, hence her smile at the end . Or at least that was my take on it.
