It was a slow burner last night but still a good one IMO. I think the intention was for it to start slow in order to amplify the ending in the same way what it was based on does.

Just didn't get last nights episode. The whole penis thing was just odd and when it ended I was just left empty. Maybe when I listen to the podcast it will help but it was a miss for me. Maybe I'm not clever enough or they were trying to be too clever.

I did see the hare though!

Big fan of the show but not so keen on the Mr King one that I caught up with last night. Just didn’t quite hit the spot for me and there was no real sting in the tail. The ending started about 10 mins from the actual end. Interesting and worth watching, not a dud but definitely not a classic either.

I agree, clumsy and not as subtlety crafted as their usual episodes.

Far too similar to The Wicker Man for me. And the dénouement went on and on.

I thought that was excellent - one of the best in years.

Animated episode next week, which I am looking forward to.

An absolute classic!

Once again I resolved to look for the hare, and within minutes was so enthralled it went clean out of my head.

As usual I went online after watching the latest one (Nine Lives Kat) to check what had happened and get a better understanding of all the subtleties. Found a really good synopsis on Den of Geek which joined all the dots for me and pointed out things I’d never have noticed otherwise.

Said it before but my brain just doesn’t seem to quite work the right way to understand these fully but once it’s explained to me it all falls into place.

Still loving the series and always look forward to it; that was a great episode with some very clever details that I now understand thumbup

Inside Inside No 9 on BBC Sounds, Shearsmith and Pembrrton talking about the episodes. The episodes go online straight after each one is on TV.

Have you tried the 'Inside, Inside Number 9' podcast with Reece & Steve and usually a cast member or a producer... explains everything and a whole lot more.

This weeks was great and the explanation really exposed a lot of the finer details: child with no face, only one spoon, Katey Purry.. etc

hehe A coincidence perfectly befitting of I.N.9

The episode from the week before (welsh school / Wickerman) wasn't my favorite - however listening to the podcast after certainly improved it.

Thought it was a good one. The best line of the episode was 'Stockport Syndrome' hehe . I didn't see the hare but I'd forgot about it and wasn't looking.

Thought it was excellent with lots of twists and turns. I can never spot the hare as too busy focussing on the plot!!

The hare was in the opaque window behind the guy in the leather jacket when he's stood in the doorway. It's the only one I've spotted this series! bowtie

I enjoyed this one.

I really didn't get on with last week's at all (author not author one). Just flat and really obvious all the way through (like Mr King) - a touch of Last House on Needles Street about it which was equally obvious.
