Bethany glaring at Gary, pouting, blocking his number in mummys phone. It wasn't so long ago she was trying her best to bonk him - hypocrite!

Also on the subject of Bethany. B - 'What are you still doing here, are you trying to get me fired?!' In my head Craigs response would have been 'well, you've dumped me, now it's the only way I'm going to see your jubblies'

And talking of jubblies, where did they suddenly come from? Have Wonderbra been taking advantage of product placement?

I must admit, I don't even know my wife's mobile number either.

So, is Sebastian going to testify "tomorrow" or not?

They really stretch credibility at times. However, I'm hoping Bethany gets more work in the lap dance place, very enjoyable and we get to see the ears there too!

The biggest farce is that there is any sort of trial at all. The only evidence the police have is an injured Seb found under a fallen ladder, and an earring on the floor of the room with the window Seb was cleaning. I'm no Rumpole, but I can't see how the police could even consider a prosecution in those circumstances. Nobody appears to have checked which employees would have been present in the office when the fall happened - even Dozy Rosie surely would remember Pat asking for access? It's a complete joke. Any tantrums or attacks by Anna which were unrelated to the Seb fall would be inadmissible evidence. The plod have absolutely nothing.

Which all points to a guilty verdict, with Anna eventually being reprieved in about 4 months time when more "evidence" comes to light, in true soap style.

(These Corrie folks sure like sofa-surfing, don't they? Craig at Maria's, Pat at Billy's, is Sean kipping at Ty's?)

My constant exclamation is "how big are all these houses/flats" - There seems to be about a bazillion people living at Maria's for one...

One thing that does seem to grate is why we never see in the front rooms of Eileen, Tyrone, Norris, etc - That has to be a decent sized living space, yet are never shown....

Several of my relatives lived in these type of houses when I was a kid and most lived in the "back" room generally, the front room was either kept for best or they hardly ever went in it. I suspect in an era of coal fires it saved heating two rooms up, before homes were centrally heated, also the coal bunker would be in the back yard.

As a matter of interest, how much would you guess a typical "corrie style" house would be worth these days in a back street in Salford?

I'd say around 60k (ish)

I agree and I've lived in Terraces of this type on and off (am living in a Terrace in South Yorkshire now as it happens) and you'd expect the use of the front room to have changed - Chesney's gaff seems to have done this, but few others have.

And I'd say around 80k ish. Or not. I've no idea smile

That figure sounds about right to me. Even in Belfast a ropey terraced house fetches that sort of money, a good one more like £80/90k. Londoners can only dream.

Both sets of grandparents had a front room which was kept for "best". Hardly ever used except for funerals and if the vicar called. Usually smelled musty, lots of tacky ornaments and antimicassars on the seats. Plus the ubiquitous aspidistra in a jardiniere in the window. Would be called today "vintage".

(When we occasionally get a glimpse of one of Corrie's front rooms, usually a camera angle which hints at another reception area, it does suggest that the room in question is about 6 feet deep, which wouldn't be a lot of use for anything. Didn't Blanche have the front room when she was alive? The other conundrum is that not all the houses in the Street have one - Chesney's house, Dev's, Ty's, they all open straight into the living-room. Ken's has a front room, as does Norris, and Eileen.)

We're in the East Midlands, Notts/Derby border. Our house is of similar ilk, 1875 end terrace, two reception rooms, but a more rural location. It's worth about £90k.

They don't even check alibis!

"where were you when Luke was killed?... Oh okay then!"

What about CCTV? Mobile phone evidence? In real life Phelans van would be seen on half a dozen cameras in the area and his phone would be linked to the mast nearest the crime scene!

Awful lot of Newton & Ridleys best bitter wasted there. Wasn't even a decent wet t-shirt event - the director should have organised some water being poured on them. Maybe with Eva getting between them and getting soaked. Just saying.

Pat reckons he saw Anna entering the office, and STILL nobody from the prosecution (or defence for that matter) has questioned the staff at Adam's office.

I can't see how he can have committed perjury. Nobody can prove anything.

Eileen saying "all these things that he's done " yet what things? Nobody knows about Andy, Vinnie or Luke. I don't see why he needs to do a runner - the police don't suspect him of anything -as yet.

I suspect that if the police investigated anyone who told an untruth in court, they would not have much time left to catch people to put them there in the first place...

That's very true but perjury is something different to hearsay. Pat was quoting something another witness (Seb) said - that would be inadmissible in those circumstances.
