I wonder what an SF90 with no options looks like, if it is possible to buy such a thing
Would you even get wheels, seats or a steering wheel?..

I might have missed it but i think Harry might have forgotten to say what problems could occur if you dont have the car battery on charge all the time ?
Yes, I was waiting for that too.

I see the vid cut and re-started on the drive off - Harry c'mon admit it, did you do up the harnesses and then realise you couldn't close the driver's door? (used to do this in my Exige all the bl@@dy time!)... :-)

Does nothing for me this Fezza and looks awful. Sounds a bit scary on the limit too :-O

I can't help but be impressed with the Ferrari, the tech is genuinely amazing.

Harry's real world reviews of 500k cars are always fun.

The carbon fibre interior looks horrid, I think I'd pay not to have it, and harnesses on a road car always look ridiculous to me.

The styling is a mess, if I were super rich, the only current Ferrari I'd want is a Roma.
Agree on the harnesses, they should be for track day cars only as just a pain for normal use. Also agree the interior looks horrible amd the haptic controls make it look like a PlayStation set up not a premium car.

Watching the SF90 video, £500k with options, 1000 bhp and seeing the F40 behind with half the power but ten times the desire, from me at least...
Very true but the SF90 is a comparative bargain - what are F40’s these days £1.2m+
I can't help but feel that the F40 will still be worth £1.2m+ in 10 years' time but the SF90.......won't.

Great film Harry, but the SF90 also leaves me cold.

IMO, Ferrari haven't explained very well what it's supposed to be - a cheaper LaFerrari? A more powerful F8?

It looks too much like an F8 for me.

Enjoyed the review on the SF90 but agree with Harry that the car is a mess styling wise on the rear.

Hate to say it but you do wonder if maybe it is too powerful for a road car.

Looks like a Corvette design idea that didn't make it past the concept stage. hehe

Haptic controls look hellish to use, and I thought they were old tech? Looks similar to what Peugeot do. Funny you mention PlayStation, the motor at the front had an orange bit in the shape of a controller hehe

So true, the Americans doing it better than Ferrari is a bit concerning smile

I'm finding the current ferrari line up a bit confusing. Could someone explain it?
It used to be something like 360, scag, etc, but I can't work out what the pecking order these days.
What is the equivalent of the 458 all the way to the top.

I don't even understand my own question!

I’m not sure Ferrari even understands.

The silver detailing on the front of that SF90 does not help it at all. No doubt an expensive optional extra too.

More than the list price of a new 992 GT3 in options, most of it just useless carbon fibre tat...

It's effectively Portofino -> Roma -> F8 -> 296 -> 812 -> SF90

Portofino and Roma - front engine V8's for those on benefits who can only afford circa £200,000 on their Ferrari.

F8 - The mid engine V8. Current equivalent of the 360.

296 - New era V6 hybrid, only available RWD.

SF90 - All singing all dancing 4WD 1,000HP hybrid.

812 - The traditional front engine V12 grand tourer aka the best Ferrari.

The technology is incredible but the proposition is a bit depressing. I really don't like the looks either. That noise on start up as well! You can't really see the engine. All the things that make Ferrari's special seem to have been taken away.

I loved the sound the SF90 makes, I think the looks can be sorted out with having a single colour rather than the strange hammer/arrow head detailing at the front, overall I like the shape, the seats looked amazing.

Options list pricing is eye watering, the tone tone stripe is £20k!

On that price list I saw “titanium wheel bolts” £960 + vat.
Would any buyer actually specify these?

I don't get the SF90 at all - IMO a fat, ugly, 4WD, auto, computer controlled (torque/battery vectoring) vehicle has jumped the shark as a sports car.

Costs the same as a house, so no change there.

The think of a number for crass options and add several zeros to it approach shows no sign of abating. Oh for some Henry Ford thinking.

Astonishing performance, but utterly unusable. But that happened many years ago.

Will the design age? I doubt it. Italy used to have a reputation for discreet style and elegance. There's nothing pretty about this car. And that's before lipstick has been added.

F8 and 812 are surely not much longer for the world are they?
