I'm also surprised that basic features, used daily, are allowed to be buried in menus within touchscreens. It seems daft. Many features and functions being buried in menus is fine, once set up, they're done. But things like climate should be able to be controlled very easily.

Well colour me surprised! I'll try it on the way home and report back. Sorry, wandering off topic.

Volvos let you say "I'm too hot" or "I'm too cold" which is OK if you are in the car on your own but I feel a plonker doing it with passengers present!

My car also lets people whinge about stuff as much as they like but it's smart enough to completely ignore them. biggrin

I'm too embarrassed to do that sort of stuff even when I'm alone. Even dictating a WhatsApp message feels painful.

That's nothing compared to the two original 250 GTOs he has. Some sources also say he was the purchaser of the 300 SLR Uhlenhaut coupe.

Also his suspiciously winding driveway with armco on the corners.

Used in the filming of one of the Alain de Cadanet series => https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victory_by_Design

Bamford bought both of the Goldfinger DB5s that were used in the film.

He paid $3,750 for each one.

A year later he did a straight swap of one of them for a 250 GTO which he still has.

Not a bad trade.

Latest vid: love that Jag, and agree with all the decisions Harry has made both to try and retain the original injection system and to abandon it once it proved bad. The original looks amazing with all that chrome pipework but there always comes a time when function wins out over form.

Interested in the estimated bhp figures - were they at the flywheel or wheels? Seemed low for flywheel figures (to me) given the capacity of the engine but maybe I'm being unfair to such an old car/design.

I think daddy Bamford has gifted the '73 911 to his son (is it George? The one who ruins watches)

Just watched the update on the Jag. Poor Harry having to go back and do all that.

Seems a lot of money for an emerald conversion using old car inlets etc. I know there is a lot of labour.

Should be very good when finished. I wonder how much individual throttle bodies would have cost and if there would be any more power without bespoke cams?
