He’s previously come across as a decent bloke, but last night appeared very patronising towards the gay rookie cop. I’m not one to shout ‘Homophobic’ lightly, but that’s how it appeared. Poor show from him given that he’s an amputee so has probably faced prejudice himself.

The rookie was just after advice about how best to proceed and he was very dismissive from the word go.

He definitely seemed as though he thought community policing was beneath him.

He seemed frustrated that the PC was trying to do something without the basic evidence

I am not sure if the PC was an absolute rookie so it could be

a) rookie needed help
b) not an absolute rookie and he should know better by now

The PC did seem very unconfident and nervous when approaching him for advice.

I'm sure that Sergeant has featured before, lost his legs I believe (not sure how), I remember him getting all get up and having to walk away because they wouldn't fund handwriting analysis or something

He had a point but could have delivered it in a much better way

It was an odd exchange for sure, one which I am sure happens all the time in any workplace, but when you know you have a film crew in?
Made him look nasty and also gave in insight to the reality of how the Police treat these sorts of crimes.

The fact that someone can get caught with 3 knives in a bag, panic about how "they could get 5 years for this" then get all charges dropped about sums it up really.
None of them got anything for taking over a persons flat who was vulnerable, the last 2 episodes have looked like a right waste of time for all concerned.
The best outcome would of been for the girl to go on rehab course as part of her 'punishment'.
It was grim but not a good example to show that you pretty much can take over someones flat and use as a drugs den provided they are too scared to snitch on you.....

I was expecting an update on Emily and what had happened to her, also there wasn't any mention of the 'cuckoo-ing' situation.
Wasn't there a call to the police at the very start of the programe that stated they had taken over the flat and forced her to take the drug? When Emily was in the interview room she denyed it but then got very upset and didn't want to talk about it anymore.

I'm guessing her reluctance to make a statement meant they didn't have the evidence to proceed with charges against them?

I was surprised at how many times they were bailed and released to reoffend.

I don't think he does, and I don't think he can walk - but might be mistaken?

Yes his attitude and response to the OIC was rather surprising.

He does have false legs

Yes the cuckooing was obviously dropped because the victim wouldn't support it.

You see the coppers having a joke with the crims on all sorts of police programs. I guess its just a job to them and they dont take it too personally.
