New show on comedy slot on Friday. All female version of news quiz I suspect
Do you mean Dead Ringers?

If so, it's a new series of a show that's been around for years.

Blast.

(a) because it means the current series of Dead Ringers has ended; and (b) the majority of the BBC's recent new content for the 6:30 slot has been mediocre at best.

Of the current newer offerings, I'm enjoying My Teenage Diaries.

Glad to hear Dead Ringers has finished (for now). Didn't find it particularly funny or the impressions particularly accurate. The fact they name check the person in almost every one suggests they know that too..

The impressions are very accurate for many of the people.

They name the less distinctive voices or less famous people.

It has become more vicious /cutting over the years. The strength of the programme is that the sketches are often an absurd version of the truth or what we assume to be close to the truth.

I suspect that you dislike their satire of people you are a fan of.

Afraid you're wide of the mark there. I found the Brexit Bulldog pretty dire and I'm most definitely not a fan of DD..

It's somewhat ironic that Dead Ringers are the only bit of the BBC that openly acknowledge the enthusiasm with which Kuenssberg expresses her leanings.

Even they couldn't deny it any longer.

The DD bits weren't the best, because they weren't really that funny.

Unlike Gove, Hague & Johnson. Which were fab.

The BBC stuff is also fab, especially Neil Nunes.

Lefty progressive women from the BBC. No surprise there.

I struggled through it, but will avoid in future.

There's not enough canned laughter in this universe to fix it.

Half an hour of Danny Dyer on the toilet would've been less dire.

Still, not a patch on the desperate ramblings of life's favourite failure, John O Farrell.

Evil Tories & Brexit Nazis.

Hopefully won't hear from him again until 2039.

The 6.30 slot does seem to vary a lot, top must be Dead Ringers I haven't missed one from the start and Friday evening which is also my Pizza making evening seems to go well with Dead Ringers and Chianti.
The News Quiz is quite good too and the programme that Jack Dee comperes is funny too.
The Now Show was good at the beginning but I now find it a bit right on and politically correct/worthy.
There have been some real howlers though in that 6.30 slot.
