I'd be interested to read that, any chance you could post it up again or link the thread?
It's one of those places I would love to see but maybe in later life, don't think I could sell it to the GF!!
I've just text my girlfriend saying I want to go...she has said the same! Got a keeper! (for how long I don't know if we die ha)It's one of those places I would love to see but maybe in later life, don't think I could sell it to the GF!!

We also spent a morning with a couple of Ukrainian ex special forces guys at the army range shooting some fairly serious weaponry.
She came home with a 9mm she’ll casing in her sock. Neither airport pulled her.

Would be interesting to know what’s you considered incorrect. I suppose there is always some artistic licence to make it sound more interesting or risky
The two that were most noticeable were:There was a figure of deaths/potential deaths that seemed high... probability from one of the more pessimistic perspectives.
At least once his technical ‘guide’ (ex CBRN Regt I think from what was said) was monitoring the ground by dangling the probe by its cable.

What effect would Guy's previous x-rays for injuries have on the radiation limits he was given at Chernobyl, would it even be an issue?
Not accounted for. The limits are generally veryconservative especially for members of the public. A single CT scan would give ~10x the UK yearly dose limit. I've not watched the program yet but we limit casual visitors to our controlled ares to <10uSv, 0.1% of a CT, per visit.coppice said:
As ever ,. I find his appeal to so many viewers difficult to understand. He is not especially articulate or charismatic and sounds like the bloke down at your local tyre depot . It works for millions , even though I still struggle to see why .
As I’ve said before, I don’t think he does. I think a few important bigwigs in tellyland decides that a particular person is just what they need, and then create a ‘vehicle’ to plug the celeb in question. In this case they want this knobber to be the next Fred Dibnah, even though he isn’t.llewop said:

He does have a certain similarity to Fred, but would never be his replacement. However, I do feel he comes across as a sort of modern equivalent. He definitely has the passion, and as Fred did, he seems able to turn his hand to do most things well.
I’d rather watch him being down to earth and a bit rough round the edges than stuck up prim and proper presenter.
I notice he’s stuck with his hi viz trousers no matter where he goes!

I don't think that at all. He gained a public following pretty much by accident due to "TT3D: Closer to the Edge", and from that came a few other things, and then it looks like bigwigs have said "the public like him, let's put him in more stuff". You make it sound like he is manufactured and I think nothing could be further from the truth.
Edit: Ok, re-reading your post, maybe you're referring to the "the public like him, let's put him in more stuff" bit then, perhaps.

Tough crowd.I think GM's appeal is the belief that WYSIWYG (the genuine article and not a product of 'enhanced reality' or whatever term covers Made in Chelsea etc etc). I believe he is also on the autistic spectrum towards the end where it challenges regular life (but he's never been diagnosed iirc).
Having said that, this series is a bit MEH (with the exception of the fast jet stuff) and I'd like to see him attempting some more speed records. Maybe on a machine made by him and Colin Furze...

He's been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, which is on the autistic spectrum. See https://metro.co.uk/2017/10/17/5-celebrities-whose... and linked articles.

He's much more watchable when he's actively contributing to the programme like with his Speed series challenges.

So Gary Newman has Asperger's - who knew?!!??!
Still want to see GM and C. Furze produce something mad and record breaking - it could melt the interwebs...
I like watching GM but it's the patronising voice over bloke he always uses that I can't stand. Continually repeats himself especially after ever ad break and states the bloody obvious. If he'd shut up for 5 minutes I might actually enjoy the show. As it is now it's unwatchable for me.
It's like when you watch the old comedy shows and switch on to the canned laughter. Never noticed them first time around. Unwatchable now.

Yes, I agree. It's put me off entirely. Especially the false jeopardy he injects into the narration. Clockwork Cupcake said:
