Ep3 was interesting, i'll spoiler in case people are stupid enough to read here before watching the latest episodes...

So do we think that's actual Frank the Punisher at the end? Or just someone cosplaying? Can't imagine why Frank would be working for Fisk/baddies after his character arc in his series.
Almost certainly one of the cops we’ve seen with the Punisher tattoo. I doubt the hit was ordered by Fisk, but he’s creating a political climate that makes them feel supported in their actions.
Frank won’t be happy about it.

I thought the Netflix version was compelling. I’ve watched the first two episodes. The cgi was jarringly poor. Took me out of it. Seems plodding so far. The way Matt referenced ‘mystical amulet’ seemed odd as well. It’s not great is it.
I’ll soldier on for a few more episodes in the hope it improves. Why can’t Disney do this IP justice? Given their resources, scenes showing DD swinging via the billy club look like something from an early 2000’s PlayStation game. It’s not good enough.
The writing feels flat as well.

Yeah defo not him. What I didn't get is why they wouldn't have all realised the danger Hector would be in post trial [with or without the White Tiger suit on]. Matt wouldn't of just moved on, thinking all is fine?!

It looks to me like the series is setting up Matt for a fall due to his over confidence. Taunting the cop with his ‘fast hands’ jibe was funny, but unprofessional. Outing Hector was a successful move, but maybe not consulting him first wasn’t right. When he won the case, he was more interested in ‘celebrating’ with his new girlfriend than seeking protection for his client.

The best parts of this and the Netflix shows are when Murdock and Castle talk...

For anyone who hasn't seen this episode, FFWD until you see Frank, then FFWD to the end.

To be honest, I wished I'd just FFWD to the end anyway.

Took me a while to find this on Netflix because the new version is on Disney+.
Perhaps time to change the thread title? scratchchin

I love almost ever scene. The acting/writing/music/cinematography are all excellent.

The meeting between Matt and Frank was the glazing on the cherry on the icing on the cake.

I'm just struggling a bit with it, perhaps I'll wait for the full season to Air and start over, perhaps need a reminder of the original series too.

This has the stink of a writer who thinks he knows better than the source material. In this case turning a superhero show into a preachy legal drama.
Then there's killing off a major character for no good reason.

To counter the doom and gloom, I really enjoyed this week's episode. Yes, 4 eps in and barely any DD was starting to jar a bit however, remember, we're getting a decent number of episodes and it's been a while since the last series so I appreciate them taking some time to set up motivations etc but not treat the audience like they've never seen DD before.

Clearly there'll be a shift in action from next week so let's see how the rest of the series plays out.

As for this episode, Frank and "Red" back together was fantastic. Bernthal is such a good actor, I do hope we see more of him (I expect we will). Superb writing in that scene on right Vs wrong, as with the rest of the series really. It's a treat to have a Marvel show again that treats the audience as adults.

Jon actually turned it down, until they rewrote it. He's working on a Punisher special.

Possible spoilers, that may or may not happen.

Hector's niece who Matt saw at the morgue, becomes the White Tiger in the comics.

It’s a magical place.

Also, I really wish I hadn’t opened the spoiler tag.

So I read. Despite always working it's clear he chooses his projects carefully, he's always incredible even in small roles.
